The Iran election tweets are making Twitter interesting
This is the first time I think that I have seen Twitter actually earning its new found status in the internet community. If you are on Twitter and have any interest in world events check out the #iranelection tweet page.
I may even go as far as saying this might actually 'make' Twitter globally as a real tool rather than just celebrity following. |
I read yesterday that students and admin at the University of Toronto were the ones responsible for setting up proxy servers to keep things going in Iran.
|
I hate twitter, this makes it a little more interesting but still. Mark my word no one will be talking about twitter in a year or so.
|
Well, if for the moment it is allowing such voices to get out I could care less if people are talking about it a year from now. Today it is very interesting to listen to voices we very rarely hear.

Communications like this will only serve as another feather in Twitter's cap

Rachel Maddow's show has been captioning her reports on twitter and Iran as "The Revolution Will Be Digitized."
