If you email Richard from Richard's realm / adultcontent.co.uk I imagine he can recommend a good tax lawyer / accountant.

Thank you. Not a pleasant thought, paying taxes to another government just to be able to accept funds from UK debit cards. I think I need another option.

u'll have to pay VAT I guess, if you don't customs and excise will be on your case

Dude, don't do it!

Any US biller can take UK debit/credit cards! Most people here have a MC/Visa card, which you can already accept, and MC/Visa both handle currency conversions seamlessly. I just have a link to "international pricing equivalents" on my signup info page... I think UK customers are like a third of our sales now, with prices charged in dollars.

Yup - listen to gothweb.

I do all my online purchase with a visa debit card (or thru paypal which takes the money off the same card).

We were looking at accepting non Visa debit cards; Switch, Delta and Solo through a company in the UK, they require a UK bank account.

Most UK banks can legally set you up with an Isle of Mann account specifically to avoid Taxman. Last time I looked it required an initial deposit of £750 to open the account (I checked Abbey National and Nationwide)

Thank you. I will explore that option
