In any case, I truly hope another NHL does NOT situate itself in the southern Ontario area. My hope is that a new owner will keep the team in Phoenix.

If any city should get a team it's Winnipeg or maybe even Quebec City once again. Or both of them.

Why am I nuts? I love hockey and I want to buy seasons tickets!

I have to pay thru the nose to get tickets for the leafs and it's cost prohibitive to bring children to more than a couple of games per year. God forbid an original 6 team shows up in Toronto and the price goes up by double.

If Hamilton/Guelph/Kitchener gets a team I will be the first one in line to grab 4 seasons and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I understand your reasons, and many people feel the same, but I don't think it's going to happen.

It should happen. Hockey teams should be put in markets that can support them, not some random city that someone can point out on a map. Phoenix does not scream 'hockey town' to me...

And who knows, maybe putting a team in Hamilton will force Toronto to actually win a few games and maybe make the playoffs once in a while.

Please move them....and while you are at it, move the Panthers too.

Whereas Winnipeg is a classic hockey town with a long history of the game. Many of the game's greatest players are from Manitoba... Bobby Clark, Billy Mosienko, Ed Belfour, Bryan Dennis and Ron Hextall, Terry Sawchuk to name a few.

Too bad there's still a question of whether or not we can support an NHL team. We did so for a lot of years back in the day, and we now have a better arena.

I highly doubt they'll decide to move them back here though. Too bad though, Winnipeg IS hockey, as much as anywhere in Canada. It's a disgrace that we don't have a team.

I'd love to see a team back in Winnipeg.

Maybe not. But my feeling is that a team located in southern Ontario has as much chance of surviving as a team in Winnipeg or Quebec City.

Quebec would not support a team returning to the area? or it just doesn't have the numbers to support?

Keepin' our fingers crossed here that Balsillie gets his team and relocates to the Hammer.

Leave Gretzky in Phoenix to play golf (or count his millions, whatever).

Get the team out of Phoenix. what 13 years of losing money? WTF would other owners want to support that?

Give them an AHL team or something.
