I doubt I will.... trying to sell the new features as industry-breaking stuff is crap. A lot of these new things have been standard on lots of phones for a long time.

Hope though most will be available on the 3G with a simple software update.

i have a 2.0 & i am ready to drop it. not because of the phone, but because AT&T is the worst carrier ever. Seems like 80% of my calls drop. it drives me crazy.

I picked up my iphone Jan of this year and now I want the new version. I do not mind extending my contract, I just hope they don't expect me to pay $500

I've read that if you've just gotten your contract, you may not be eligible for the new one.
However, if your current contract is near expiration then you'll asked to $200 for an upgrade.

I'm going to upgrade, but, basically add a second line and give my wife my old 8 gig 3g and get myself the 32 gig model. I have a shit load of data to carry around and this will help keep me away from having to lug around my laptop.

Got the iPhone 3G and been really pleased with it besides the pants camera its pretty damn good,no other phone really comes close for browsing the internet when the laptops just outta reach lol !

Even if the only new feature of the S is that it does video and is a bit bigger I still gotta get one besides my contracts nearly up and I'd need to get a new free phone anyway

i will never get an iphone, they still sell the ORIGINAL v1 iphones unlocked for around 500 USD on Ebay, same with the 3G v2.0's ...
No clue why the price WON'T GO DOWN!! Since I can't get them on contract fuck the iphone I am not paying 500+ for it!!!

shame that the current in-built camera can't provide video with a firmware/software update, but I can live with that. Got my canon xm2 for that stuff.

I'm still using the first generation iPhone, love it, but it is nearing death I think. Just lil things I've noticed with it lately. So I will be making the switch.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the keynote and information given. I am eager to see the 3.0 release though.
