Ever seen the results of war up close?? Makes something like that stand out in your mind.

I've been fortunate to not have seen it up close. I do hope it keeps that way also.

There is no way to describe, because it's not just what you see, but hear, smell and taste and know that you had something to do with the destruction of that human. Its a big package that really REALLY sucks.

And for all our sakes, I hope that it stays that way as well, but it seems like so many people in this world are intent on burning it.

After watching Hamburger Hill & Full Metal Jacket many years ago, the whole idea of war changed in my mind. I buried 2 of my best friends 7 years ago that died in a car crash where the car burned down. So I know how that smells days later when you lower the coffin into the ground. Not really the same but still stuff like that could haunt you for decades.
