Dude had no reason to be killed. He had plenty of money, was staying in a secure, 5 star hotel and life was good. Thailand isn't the wild-west like an old Vietnam war movie anymore.

There's tens of thousands of drunken, scumbag, degenerate foreigners walking around here, some with tons of cash, some poor and desperate and caught up in bad things (namely in Pattaya) and yet I rarely even hear of issues happening to them.

Carradine does not even come close to fitting the profile of someone who'd get murdered. Dude obviously had some deep sexual kinks as many creative, affluent men do. Eccentricity gone awry if you ask me.
