Trashing someone's Rep
 

It always amazes me how people like to trash someone else on the board and try their best to do it witout any comment from the person being trashed. It's very childish and getting old.

I'm not saying some of these people whoare getting trashed recently don't deserve it, but the way in which it is handled by the whinners and complainers is really getting sick.

It reminds me of a US election, it's all about how horrible the other candidate is and not what the person running the ad can do for you. I really hate that shit.

It's one thing for two people to go at it, it's something entirely different to start the lynch mob without hearing two of the definite three sides there are to every story.

You mean it would be better to wait until all parties are ready to post at the same time, and then they can take it public ? Like that'll ever happen. The sequence of events as it happens is natural.

People SHOULD know when someone offering services, and often recommended here by others, doesn't pay or isn't being paid. That way others don't get screwed too.

I think your right, Sleazy. But on the other hand, that's the Internet. People will always try to look bigger, more agressive and tougher than they really are. And nobody knows eachother so nobody wants to back off. It's so easy to say to someone that he's a dick and get 5 people to agree with you without them even knowing what's it about. It's a bit sad, but in the end, I don't think people like that are really being taken seriously. Although, I hope not.

By the way, about that party thingie. I wasn't really sure where you were heading for. I mean, I would love to go and I think I can give you a pretty good reason to also, but it seemed to me you were turning it into some kind of a contest? Whoever has the best reason wins? It looks to me like the party costs quite a bit (hiring 8 heli's etc.), so I can really imagine you don't want every single dumbo on you party, but it wasn't really clear to me who you did want..

I think because of its name, some posters think it's for nothing more than slamming people.. smartass remarks, yada yada..

When someone tries to ask a civil question, there's always a few that feel the need to think they're cool, funny, or macho and get stupid. Plus these posts usually disappear within seconds while the "post pics of what's inside your frig" type posts seem to stay to the top..

Oh well.. always was.. always will be.. that's the net way it seems.

I know there are some people who use Trillian, and have trouble receiving and sending messages to people using the latest ICQ version. Some people using older versions of ICQ have a little trouble with that too. Just an FYI.

if you're ripped people off you deserve to have your name bashed on a message board. either that or having a local biker gang come and snap a couple legs.

Sometimes when you enter into a deal the other party will not communicate with you via email or icq which only leaves 1 thing left ie the board and its the one thing that seems to work when push comes to shove if they are not working it out after you have put the effort into keeping it between you and the other party.... just my :2 cents: :2 cents:
