Where is the good streaming webcam software?
I want to set up a webcam at home to play around with... I've used Spycam before which I think is just meta refresh, but I'd rather do something streaming -- applet or...?
I've done surfing and I've mostly found a lot of crap that doesn't work -- java bytecode errors, broken servers, etc... There's got to be some homebrew shit cooking out there! |
I don't really care about chat... and don't care so much about audio either... I just want the video to stream on my website...
|
I've seen that Firecracker program that's like $2500 or something but that's overkill I don't want all that affiliate program/performer feature stuff that I'll never use...

I think they might have something your looking for:

Haven't seen webcam32 tho... I'm suprised there's not more out there being offered -- webcams aren't exactly NEW -- I remember watching webcams all the way back in '94-95 on CUSEEME... |
Webcam32 is good software and very straightforward, but...
To stream you'll need to download an additional few files in a zip. "JavaCamPush" or something like that. Last time I checked, the zip was there, and it was downloaded as per their instructions -- but half of the files mentioned in their "how to stream" walkthrough were missing from the zip file. |
Fly, how can I contact you.
