Congress already trying to run GM and Chrysler

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_auto_dealers

We just wasted roughly $50 billion. Thank your congressman for the ice pick in your back the next time you see him/her.

This is only the beginning. They are just testing the waters of their newfound power.

I said from the day he announced he was going to run that he would fuck things up. Sadly the old man would have been no better.

I think the old fart would of got someone a tad bit better than Timothy Geinther. He would of forgiven the 50 billion to GM and Chrysler like Obama, backed their warranties in a bankruptcy; but I highly doubt the old fart would've turned it into Government Motors. The stimulus would've been half of what it was too.

What is 400 billion these days though?

I don't see anything in that story that says where Congress is trying to meddle.

Rockefeller is bitching about losing dealerships in his district, but so what? That has no policy implications, it's just grandstanding.

Congress also said they were going to tax the AIG bonuses at 90% to get the money back.

If there's one thing a member of the U.S. House never misses, it's an opportunity to grandstand for the cameras. If you took everything they ever said seriously, you'd be schizophrenic by now.

Yes and of course we should have all listened to you. What with your expertise in business and their relationships with banks. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Why not you probably hung on every word of Obama's and he had zero experience in business. Hell, being a webmaster is like community organizing isn't it?

he posted the wrong link. the news i think he intended to post was the story about the senate reviewing GM's decisions of which dealerships to close.

STFU asshole. You don't know me, what words I hang on, or anything else. You inserted yourself into a conversation that's been going on for months that you're totally clueless about.

Butt out before you embarrass yourself further.

Yahoo is infamous for that. You should definitely paste the story next time.

I don't know why they do that. They always put up some sensationalistic stuff like that and then change it later....or they write inflammatory headlines for AP stories, that have nothing to do with the story.

I guess they're trying to drive clicks or something.
