nope :(

It was Sunday along Highway 62 in Paden. Kenyada Davis is behind the cell phone camera. His mother was being transported by Muscogee Creek Nation EMS to a hospital in Prague.

In a statement obtained by The News On 6, paramedic Maurice White said the patrol car came within three feet of the ambulance with its lights on, eventually passing while telling the driver over the emergency radio: "You should consider checking you rearview mirrors."

After taking care of the original call, the trooper waited for the ambulance and pulled it over. White says in his statement: "The officer got out of his vehicle in a state of rage."

A witness, who declined to go on camera, told The News On 6 the same story.

"He was yelling, screaming. He was irrational to me," said witness Diana Walkup.

OHP says before the home video was recording, the paramedic assaulted the state trooper. But, Diana Walkup says the paramedic never touched anyone until the patrolman grabbed his arm.

She says it was the trooper who was out of control.

"We thought, my God, is he going to pull a gun? That's really what we thought. We didn't know if he was fixing to pull a gun or what," said witness Diana Walkup.

evildick 05-30-2009 04:15 PM

I heard there were charges laid against the paramedic too.

LiveDose 05-30-2009 04:19 PM

Out of control. That dick should not be working with the public.

Rangermoore 05-30-2009 04:23 PM

Actually they told him they were going to charge him but haven't yet. They probably realized how bad this looked after it hit the net.

I'm confused. So why exactly were they trying to pull over an ambulance?

Apparently the cop was on a call and the ambulance didn't pull over for them.

I think they realized it in the middle of the scuffle with the EMT. They said he was under arrest, they tried to cuff, wrestled for awhile and then they changed their mind, let him go and he got back into the ambulance and they walked away.

The cops are clearly in the wrong here and as BOTH are servants of the public should be working TOGETHER instead of against each other. There is NO reason to pull over an ambulance, unless it has been reported stolen. Period.

I see these guys getting fired.

:2 cents:

LOL. So let me get this straight.

Cop gets a call. Ambulance doesn't move over. Since the cop call is so incredibly important that he needs to get past the ambulance (which is headed to the hospital) that he decides to ignore the important call and pull over the ambulance, possibly putting the passenger's life in jeopardy and also totally ignoring the initial call that he is upset about.

If anything, the cop should have taken down the number and followed up with it later. Instead, he decided to risk someone's life in the ambulance and also possibly risk someone's life at the other end of his call.

That's what you call a power trip.

According to what u-bob wrote the cop took his call then came back and waited for the ambulance.

I can understand him being a little upset and maybe going and asking why they didn't pull over, but this is pretty ridiculous.

Hope the fucker gets shot in the line of duty and the paramedic sent to the call is him :1orglaugh

If I ever give up on life, I'm going to get a high powered rifle and take out as many pigs as I can before going down myself in a hail of gunfire...

TheDoc 05-31-2009 04:40 AM

The ambulance had someone in it / lights on... legally the ambulance didn't have to stop. Legally the cop had to get the fuck out of the ambulance's way... not the other way around..

That cop should be stripped of his rank.. and disgraced.

Not only him but I hope his entire family takes bullets and all of them die in front of his eyes while the paramedic does nothing. Then he saves the life of the pig after everyone else is dead.

Manowar 05-31-2009 05:25 AM

thats fucked up

evildick 05-31-2009 06:31 AM

Kinda reminds me of here in Ontario, the liberals came up with this new street racing law, if you go over 50 km/h over the speed limit they impound your vehicle for 7 days and you get a minimum $2500 fine, etc.

Anyway, the local police made a visit to the fire department and told all the volunteer fire fighters that if they were responding to a fire and were speeding they would get the same treatment as everyone else, i.e. a street racing charge.

The fire chief said, OK, that's fine, but told the officer that if they get any calls to a police officer's house they won't break the speed limit by 1 km.

beemk 05-31-2009 06:58 AM

lol notice how after he was done trying to grab the guy he still held his hand on the guys throat while talking to him? since when is it a police procedure to hold a guys throat while trying to get him under control?

im surprised this even happened, with a regular guy yeah... but ive talked to cops that said no matter what they wont give tickets to ems drivers, doctors, fire fighters, and nurses simply because they dont want to have to possibly put their life in the hands of someone who they were a dick and gave a ticket to if something happens to them.

woj 05-31-2009 07:27 AM

Those would be smart cops you talked to :1orglaugh

Too bad more cops don't fit that description.

I'd be surprised if a fire truck could go over the speed limit by 50km/hr. Those things are massive and weigh a ton.

That's ridiculous, man if I were that lady in the ambulance, I'd sue the fucking shit out of the trooper, and the state...

Furious_Male 05-31-2009 10:08 AM

Here is the EMTs report.

http://www.fox23.com/media/news/b/4/...nt_Reports.pdf

Tom_PM 05-31-2009 10:09 AM

Hmm, I'm sorry but nobody has touched on one thing that I feel might be relevant.

Isn't failure to pull over for an emergency vehicle (police, fire, amb.) a TICKETABLE offense? Why didnt he write a ticket? I mean, if he was rational then he'd have written a ticket.. wouldnt he? hmm.

John-ACWM 05-31-2009 10:12 AM

Too much violence from the police. This is not they are supposed to act.Sometimes you might say some 'that criminal had it coming' but some pigs are way over reacting because they are the 'law' :Oh crap

Tom_PM 05-31-2009 10:18 AM

Yea its frightening. Even most of the LEOs on the Officer -dot- com forums are siding with the EMT and Paramedics on this one.

421Fill 05-31-2009 10:31 AM
