People who say this are nuts.

Of course whenever I've personally heard this it's been from women, but you hear about the odd guy saying it to his woman too from time to time. The thing of it is, sex is actually GOOD for you, is in many cases one of the absolute BEST things for you, and can help you get over many if not most ilnesses sooner rather than if you just lay there like a lump wallowing in your own putrid misery and self-pity.

Me, I would have to be incapacitated in a major way and in a full bodycast or traction of some sort before I'd feel like not having sex. And even then... Seriously, several years back I was out of surgery only a day after having my appendix removed and I wanted to take my then-girlfriend into the bathroom for a quickie (it had been nearly three days, I mean really!), but she was afraid I would bust my stitches. Almost had her going for it but she was a nurse, and the nurse in her wouldn't give it up. :mad:

Then another time a past girlfriend and I were so sunburned from being at the beach all day that, while in bed later that night she turned me down. "please don't"... seriously. I would have spooned it to her and neither of us would have had to move much, but no. Trust me, the heightened circulatory activity is good for the skin!

Then there's all the girls who get their period and then *ALAKAZAM* sex becomes out of the question. "I'm bloated" "I feel icky".... Cry me a river already. I say it's a perfectly excellent time for it. And for all you wimps out there who get all grossed out about your woman having her rag time I say a true warrior isn't afraid to get a lil blood on his sword. :D

Illness (most of it anyway) is no excuse for not getting busy. Think of it as physiotherapy, part of the healing process as it were. And get over your stupid hangups. Especially you women, because like your mail carrier... through rain, snow, sleet or hail, come thunder, hell or high water, I deliver through it all and I'm coming for you.

If the nurses wear garters under their little white skirts and little thongs or g-strings.. i'm sure I can find a way to get mobile and out of bed real quick too!

Yes, but once those symptoms pass and you're just basically "sick" and recovering, only wimps go the no sex route.
