Like Industrial Music???? FREE KICK ASS FULL ALBUMS!
Whoa! One of my favorite bands of all time just put out their entire back catalog for FREE. They're called "16 Volt" and it's basically just one guy (Eric Powell) with fill in musicians (from KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, ect. ect). If you like industrial or the like... you gotta visit.
Download any of these 4 albums and you won't be sorry!!!! (some of the others are hit and miss): Wisdom Skin LetDownCrush SCN V2 http://16volt.com/archives/2009/05/2...alog-for-free/ |
"Why are we doing this?
We had a review in a magazine several years ago that said “16volt is the greatest industrial band you?ve never heard”. Now while the greatest band part is heavily debatable, we realize that although we have been around a long time, there are still so many people who have not heard 16volt. Our hope is that by doing this, we get more fans. We get more people to our shows, we get more people into the 16volt music. So again. Take it. Share it. PLEASE help us spread the word. We need your help. Get this music out to everyone! we want it all over the world. Make cd?s give them out at shows, make torrents and upload them, share it, share it, share it. Let people know about this, send them the links. THIS IS PURE VIRAL DISTRIBUTION. This is a new model of music sharing. We aren?t asking you for anything. There is no multi-tiered pricing structure, it?s free. No obligations. If you want however we have setup a paypal donation button at our site. If you want you can donate some money to us. $1.00. $500.00. Whatever you want. It doesn?t matter, and it?s purely optional. The priority is to get the music out." |
A few new rabid fans will donate more money than they would have ever made selling the music ... works for them :thumbsup

If you haven't checked out his latest "FullBlackHabit" from 2007 it's pretty good. It's the only album that's not free (but worth the $). Yeah... I've seen them live 4 or 5 times now. Best shows were in Portland, Oregon back in the day, although the Whisky go-go in LA was fun a few years ago. Eric got one of his tattoos from my boss when I was slinging ink back in the 90's. I'm gonna catch the show in July. Probably hit the LA show so I don't have to deal with the San Diego beach hippies. Man, it'd be fun to hop a plane to the Portland show. |

you might want to check out dawn of ashes and psyclon 9 too, not exactly the same music but worth a checkout if you are into industrial/EMB

Interesting strategy. I've never heard of them, but will certainly take a listen now.
