I'm sure they'll have it worked out in no time. I would urge everyone to remember though, that when a problem shows up, don't expect key players to be on the boards answering your questions right away, because they're usually knee deep in the issue getting it fixed so that they can post to say the problem is fixed - not that they're working on it. :thumbsup:thumbsup

caz just got back to me.. some AC units in their building had problems, and some power circuits are shutdown... he says within 30-60 min that should be up.

i disagreee. its all about managing customer expectations.... we all can understand that problems happen, its how you handle the problem is a measure of a company.

so if its just to make an update that says, still down, but the time stamp is recent, then it does help customer to know what is going on.

that being said, i am not saying its the job of the NOC to post up on all the various message boards that they are down.

I see your point, and I think a measure of balance would be a reasonable middleground then. But, even when I was working in Sales and no longer heading up support at past companies, when a problem arose, I was in the DC with my hands on the issue. At any rate, building problems are like upstream provider issues - you just have to hold your dick and wait, which is super frustrating for hosts.
