Not sure how many UFC fans are out there...but I'm thinking the underdogs have a great shot tonight.

+ 200 Evans
+ 230 Serra

I'm betting Evans and Serra! :winkwink:

I thought Serra won that fight, but my opinion doesn't count. Either way, you are still right on with both bets. The way I see it is both of these fights are/were pick em fights, and even if you lose both of these fights in the long run if you go 50% on underdog fights you make money...

Hughes by lay and pray, and Machida by awesome knockout!

Rice_Master 05-23-2009 09:43 PM

sorry to say but you lost both bets lol

What exactly are you "lol'ing" about? He had the balls and took a stand, and by all means should have been 1-1 and made money. Let's assume for a second he bet $100 on each fight, so with the odds he listed that is $100 to win $230 on Serra, and $100 to win $200 on Evans. I thought for sure Serra won the 1st and 3rd rounds, and I bet most reasonable people would agree with me. Either way it was hardly a dominant win befitting a 2-1 favorite for Hughes, so he was definitely on the right side here. if you laid 2-1 on Hughes in this fight you are not a very savvy bettor.

As far as Evans and Machida, yes Machida did dominate him, but nobody was calling that. Most reasonable people were 50/50 on that fight, and in a pic em fight you always take the underdog and the plus money.

Go ahead and put your money on all -200 favorites in the UFC and see how much money you have at the end of the year...

Matt Serra lost the match, Hughes didn't win it. Hughes doesn't deserve that win, nor does Serra deserve the loss.

I almost put 100 down on frankie edgar, but im a chicken shit. wish I would have now. he was +250

i was so fucking happy that rashad lost. Ive never liked that prick - the way he acts in the ring annoys the shit out of me. thought it was funny that he was trying to dance around and act cool like he so often does as he was getting knocked the fuck out.

Drake 05-24-2009 12:40 AM

Machida dominated

who has the bootleg videos?

born4porn 05-24-2009 09:50 AM

I used to watch every UFC event ..... I need to get back in to it!!

V_RocKs 05-24-2009 10:18 AM

I watched it with a huge Serra fan. Huge as in liking him. She weighs in at about 97 lbs...

When she thought Serra was going to knock out in the first she jumped up so fast her chair flew across the floor and hit some people at another table. Crazy bitch!

When it was over she was SURE he won... Then I mentioned take downs get more points as well as holds. So while Serra got some good punches in, it isn't enough to justify a win when he was constantly on the floor in a submissive position for the rest of the fight.

Lance69 05-24-2009 02:29 PM

Machida did pretty much what i expected. Serra did win that fight IMO. He was way more active and did more damage. The whole I'm on top so I'm winning garbage has got to go the way of the Dodo. I wish they could schedule 5 round fights for non title fights. Sometimes they need to go on longer to get a proper ending.

[Labret] 05-24-2009 02:54 PM

Serra / Hughes was a boring fight all the way around. The fact of the matter is Serra did jack shit in the guard. All he did was hold onto Hughes hoping it would get stood back up. If Hughes was lay and pray, Serra was hold and pray. Serra rarely even attempted to improved his position on the bottom and any submission attempt was half assed and sad. Hughes got the take downs and controlled him almost the entire time on the ground. If they awarded points for dancing, Serra would have won.

It was good to see Evans get his mouth shut.

Ace_luffy 05-24-2009 02:57 PM

Evans... !
