What do you guys think of these membership prices I'm going to test out?
I have been playing around with lots of numbers testing things out and this is what I came up with on what would get us the most signs ups while being the most fair.
Not for sure going to test these out but wanted to get some feedback first if I did. * $19.95 Monthly access * $39.95 1 Month access - Non recurring * $99.95 1 Year access - Non recurring All affiliates would still get $25 per sale or 50/50 for all options |
It's all about testing and trail and error :)
Personally I'd do 19.95 24.99 149.95 |
* $19.95 Monthly access
* $39.95 1 Month access - Non recurring * $99.95 1 Year access - Non recurring Too inconsistent, why 40 instead of 20 if I just want 1 month? |
$0.00 1 Year access - Non recurring
sounds more realistic thanks to pornbb |
change all the .95 to something odd..
Peoples eyes are well trained when looking over their CC statements, there is no tax on a membership so it will show as xx.95 and it sounds silly bit it stands out so does xx.99 When you buy something at walmert for 19.95 it will show up as 21.74 or whatever, when looking at a statemtn all the x.99 etc stand out and might get that extra second of attention and then the mind can go all kinds of directions. (oh I have to cancel that or worse CB) or the partner starts asking q's. So I say, let it blend with the rest. We use xx.87 and have for years. Just my thoughts. |

I like those much better. |
I like making the non-recurring nice and high, making it worthwhile regardless of which the surfer picks.

I think I'm going with these.
* $19.95 Monthly access * $34.95 1 Month access - Non recurring * $129.95 1 Year access - Non recurring |
Looks decent.

never go over $5-10 more for the non recurring price and you'll do great. I also loved the advice of stay away from prices ending in .95! Thanks for that tip Dutchy! don't limit yourself to $19.95, 24.95.. just cause it's the normal for paysites.. Try 21.76 and 26.97. There is no right or wrong answer here. Sometimes trial and error is the best way to set your prices. Look at what other sites in your niche are charging and how much content you have in your members and take in if you have extra features that justify the $xx price |

Great tip, Sebastian! I hadn't thought of it that way before!

Also, when they see xx.95 or xx.99 they mentally round the number up. Making the price end in 60's, 70's or 80's and they don't round it as readily. http://www.mikeyddddd.com/gfy/images...just-sayin.gif |
I haven't checked recently, but my one-year recurring has been capped at $99.95 for years and years because CCBill/Epoch wouldn't allow anything over $100. Has that changed, does anyone know?

There is a lot more I could say on this cause I've been doing this for years and have thought it through and adjust it but hey it's the internet and we all have opinions and you can have yours. |
