Las I checked he has a black belt under carlos gracie jr (gracie barra)

no matter what your belt in gjj you can always learn something.. even from white belts

but I was there not for jiu jitsu but for mma training .... I have no experience in a cage... it's a different ball game than rolling around in a gi...

I'm about an amateur as it gets when it comes to the cage but I love learning

Reylson is where I get my belts at and teach at he is not the most liked in the family but then again they are all fighting over the name...

so my lineage would be

Carlos Gracie Sr. > Reylson Gracie > Me

helio's son..

Reylson is Carlos's son

he is 9th degree to my knowledge the highest in the family... I think rorian is 9th as well as of 2003....

Reylson younger brother runs the federation we teach the true style as Carlos Sr. did...

most all the other's teach the sport style...

muay Thai for 4 years

then jj for 5 then took time off (8Years) and have been back at it now for 3 months... but I am an instructor now at the academy here in vegas... we are about to open up our 2nd academy here as well.... I was rusty as fuck when I first started back and took a demotion in belts... but have worked my way back to where I was in no time... I just had to scrape the rust off.....

we have everything broken down in phases... phase 1-5 is white belt

6-10 blue.. 11-15 purple..... 16-20 brown... 20+ is black.... at our school it's 60% ground 40% standing....

So cool. You are right. I got my Black From Rigan Machado 8 years ago and have been training for 18 years. Fought in the 1st 5 Pan Americans. I was fortunate enough to grow up in Redondo Beach Ca.
