Question about computer hibernation
I set my computer up last night to upload a bunch of files overnight. I woke up this morning and my computer went into hibernation at some point. Hibernation doesn't detect that there is an active process like uploading running?
What is the solution? Simply turn off hibernation? |
i hate that, fuck hybernation, also turn off auto updates, because that shit will update and reboot for you all on it's own
|
As stated no hybernation, no auto updates, no sleep mode. If anything just energy save the monitor.
|
Okay what's the best way to make sure this is set up right... right now I'm in the power options turning off all of the "power downs."
|
Where do I turn off auto update? I'm on XP.

If so I just leave everything off so nothing resets or powers down and I physically turn off the monitor. |
Desktop, yes. Okay I turned off everything that I can find. Hopefully I wake up tomorrow and everything is actually on my server properly.

Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click Turn off automatic updating. |
Make sure to turn off "How XP Alerts Me" shit because otherwise every 5 minutes a damn popup comes up saying "you have updates turned off and it could be a problem!"
