how many of you are in long term/live-in relationships?

i've been single for about 8 months (after a 5 year relationship), and i'm curious what your experiences have been.

do you think it's harder to meet people when your life revolves around the adult internet business?

I am into 9 months of a relationship now...

Together nearly 4 years, married for 3, baby due in January. Very happy together. Can't really say that the internet has hindered our relationship either as we met online in a MUD.

Well, I guess we spend more time together than many people that actually live together. The good thing is that she's been living in many different countries. She's Japanese, so she usually lives in Japan... until August this year she was living in Mexico and from next spring on probably in Spain... I visit her quite often, usually for 2-4 weeks... and she spends about 2 months a year here in Germany with me...

na... just need to find a girl with her own goals, it keeps her busy and gives you, your own time.

I have been married to many times. I have had "long term" relationships. I am not currently involved with anyone. I am not looking to get involved with anyone. I hope I never get involved with anyone ever again. I am perfectly content being alone. Well I am not really alone. I live with and care for my mother whose health is frail, but when she passes on I will be Ok with being alone.

I think this is the biggest reason my relationships don't usually work out...I am most dedicated to my work, kids and then my man. Not that I am not loyal, or trustworthy...just kinda put him (when I have one) on the back burner til my other obligations are taken care of...thus very hard to maintain a healthy relationship.

I say I will never date anyone 'seriously' in the adult industry...but looks like I may have to if I want a lasting relationship. I think those who have been or are in our situation and mindset are really the only ones who can understand our dedication, and that makes things VERY hard.
