Perhaps like most other civilians, he has no understandings of what tubes really are and how they hurt.

Of course he would, even if he knows those videos don't belong on most of those sites. I don't listen to eminem but the intro to his new album is about right. He's all mad that people are downloading music and then goes on to say well I guess I would've done the same.

People love free shit and will take the free option most of the time if they can get it.

You would think an entertainer and someone who produces a product himself does understand it somewhat.

It's weird, but I was not in porn when Lars Ulrich attacked Napster many years ago. And I have to say at that time I didn't see the big deal either. Now I do of course and a lot of people were mad at lars and yelling how he ruined everything blabla.. But Lars saw all this shit we go through now coming a long time ago.

That would just be a wrong assumption. Yes they are super large and bigger than other porn sites, that does not mean everyone knows though. Then beyond that, this only further cements them into more popularity and people thinking they are perfectly OK - after all someone they like recommended/endorsed it.

Lars' mistake was he lashed too much and started alienating people, when the reality is, "stealing" and "free copies" is one of the tools that built Metallica.

Oh, no doubt. You have a point as far as between trashing tubes or talking good about them. I guess I am just dissapointed that someone in an industry that depends on the exact same mediums of content delivery as ours would even bring it up...

Bands, comics etc can do tours around the world and still be in good shape.

Pay for porn sites are never going to win unless they can make people excited enough about their stuff to pay for it and manage to keep it off all the tubes. You can't answer "Why pay for porn?" with "because you're a good person and good people don't pirate copyrighted content"...I don't think people care about the morality factor when they're looking for "smut" as it is.

Also if something is such a piece of crap you don't think it's worth paying for WHY do you want it in the first place? Why would you want crap, even for free? If I shit on a plate and say "here it's free" are these people going to eat it? It's crap and it's free so I guess the answer is yes.

He didn't have a problem with stealing Louis CK's material to use as his own why would he have a problem with watching free porn.

I saw the stand-up act you are referring to. It was just recently on Comedy Central. He did call the site out for being completely out-of-control, unmonitored, and similar to the wild west.

Let's hope the wider audience for those comments will result in more restrictions, regulations, and legal complications for free porn tube sites, as they ALL suck shit!

As for him talking about a tube site yes people know they are out there but that is just pushing it more, which pisses most of us off because thats what hurts our business. He wouldnt like it if on TMZ or one of those shows if they said go to this site for free Dane Cook stuff so not cool of him to push that shit.

I've never been fond of his stand up routines. Waaaaaaaaaay better comics out there.
