Anyone having problems with ePass card at ATMs?

We use to pull cash periodically out of ePassporte through ATMs at BofA, then all of a sudden it wouldn't let us. Most of the time we used it at Wells Fargo without any problems and now they won't let us either. WAMU has rarely if every worked. We can check balance and everything, but it just says "Can't process transaction at this time" now. We're also fine with the straight to bank transfer, but every now and then ATM is more convenient.

Anybody else having these issues?

Just to state the obvious, have you made sure that your personal limits have been set to allow you to withdraw the amount you tried?

That happened to us a few weeks ago and it was because we tried to withdraw an amount greater than the amount on the ATM protection limits inside our epass account. Increasing those ATM personal limits temporarily )see ATM protection plan inside your epass account) allowed a withdrawal of the funds without any issues.

Hope that helps.

epass is the dumbest thing I ever heard of and you're a fucking moron for using it.

avalanche 05-15-2009 01:50 PM

Yep, looks like you nailed it. I must have missed the notification. Looks like they reduced the daily limits significantly:

Transactions Daily Maximum Remaining
ATM Cash Withdrawal $320.00 $320.00

It used to be $10,000 daily.

And yes I agree that it's stupid to use ePass, but depending on some sponsors it's the quickest and most cost effective way to get paid. And unfortunately people like you who make snap judgements without knowing all the facts are in fact the true moron.

avalanche

If you log in and click "Visa Card" --> "ATM Protection Program" --> "Activate Personal Limits" then you have your old limits for 3 hours.
At the bottom of the page with the "Activate Personal Limits" there is also a link to Opt out of the program.
Please email me at [email protected] if you have any questions

I used to be able to get $600 per day out but now I am getting all kinds of errors and can only get $300 per day.

Why the fuck did you guys do that epassporte? Fucking DUMB.

A majority of Epass problems seem to be related to their lack of communication with users/clients on a regular basis.

Michael O 05-16-2009 12:46 AM

When the ATM Protection Program was implemented a message was shown on log in and a message was sent to the message center. The message on log in was showed on April 8th or the first time you logged in after that and the message to your message center was sent the same day.

funny, i was talking to someone about this earlier today. In the past couple weeks, my card suddenly wont work at gas stations ive used it at in the past, nor can i get things approved when using it as a debit card. Running it as a credit card works just fine though- but i cant EVER get it to work at the pump to pay, i have to go inside. I read the notices and im totally fine with the limits i have on my account. Its just weird that it now wont work at places where its worked fine before.

no problem with epass so far, its such that they limit the withdrawals per day

NaughtyRob 05-28-2009 05:07 PM

Its fucked up when someone sends me like $1,000 and it takes me 3+ days to get it all out, $300 per day. Really fucking stupid. Protection plan my ass, its dumb. I'll start using other options more often.

As started in the email sent to you on April 8th and the message shown on your first log in after that if you go to "Visa Card" --> "ATM Protection Program" then you have 2 options.
1) Click "Activate Personal Limits" then you have your old personal limits for 3 hours at a time.
2) Click the Opt Out link at the bottom of the page then you can opt out of the program.

If you have any questions or problems please email me.

I see nothing in there that says activate personal limits. I see Increase personal limits, when I click that it says:
Our records indicate that you already have a Select Account. If you would like to increase your limits even further, please send a request to our Customer Service Department via the Message Center.

Is that because I have a personal account?
You have a Personal Account

Below is an overview of your current Account Features.
