Severe Nose and face pain NEED HELP!!!
Hey guys I have a friend with severe nasal pain but no history of allergies!!! It hurts constantly. He has seen many ENT doctors and had CT scans and MRI's but nothing shows on those so he has this pain in his nose that no one seems to be able to diagnose. This has been going on for months now. He is on antihistamines and nasonex spray its driving him mad. He has so much pressure in his face he can feel it in his upper lip!!!
Any answers out there from someone with similar symptoms??? What could it be??? |

You need to see Dr. House. Try getting your friend an appointment at the Princeton Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, best diagnostic doctor in the country.

Rub your pussy on his face. That should make anyone's pain go away. :-)

Everything seems to be cancer, so I will say cancer.
See an oncologist. |
I recently had a similar problem. My dentist actually steered me toward this. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it but I am sure he can find it at any drugstore. It is shaped like a genie bottle and you pour a solution in one nostril and let it go through the nasal cavity and it will exit the other nostril. Do the same with the other.
Cleared me up pretty fast and totally relieved that horrible pressure/pain. |
Sounds like a tumor,he will die soon :(
|
Side note: My dentist says he uses his everyday and has had not had any problems. It kinda grossed me out after a couple uses, especially seeing what drains out so I will probably only ever do it again, if the pain comes back.

does he have his top widsom teeth in?
can he breath fine? does the pain ever go away if he does anything in particular? |

Exposed nerve in a tooth or in his jaw could do that. I have an exposed nerve in a wisdom tooth right now that has to be yanked, and its causing me pain in my upper cheekbone, and my ear and up on the top of my head. And many times the tooth doesnt even hurt but I can feel the pain in my cheek bone still.

He could have a tooth infection that is close to his nasal cavities. That shit can kill you. Should maybe get xrays of his teeth.

I remember seeing something like that on a TV show like Grey's Anatomy or something.
The patient had chronic nasal pain and all the doctors were looking at his brain or something but couldn't figure it out and then another doctor walked in, diagnosed the problem right away and a simple procedure fixed it. Sorry I can't remember the specifics :Oh crap |

Have the friend see a dentist immediately. I've experienced first-hand how much dental pain can radiate to other areas.

I use a neti pot a couple of times a week. During pollen season you would not believe what comes out of my nose. Fucking gross!

I have a friend that had symptoms similar to what you have described, turned out he had a poison ivy reaction in his nose, no shit!

I get that same type of unbearable pain whenever I get punched in the face. Luckily, that only happens a few times per week.

tell him to try a breathe right strip and see if that opens up his nasal passage.

Once when a dentist was working on my teeth, the left half face swelled up huge and none of the three doctors has a clue what it was. Lesson learned - even simple dental procedures CAN have significant unexpected consequences. |

I've had my fair share of medical problems and I can't remember the last time I got good advice from friends, family, or some online forum. In fact a few times I had friends tell me this or that wasn't a big deal. I went in to doc cuz shit never got better and doc told me it was something else that was a big deal if I waited any longer. Hell I have an aunt that is now dead because she thought listening to her friends, reading home remedy books, taking vitamins were better options than docs. So I pretty much ignore other peoples advice unless it sounds like damn good advice. Such as the people telling ya about dentists, I would think a catscan would pick anything up... But maybe not, maybe that didn't cover his whole face anyway. I would go see a specialists dentists too, not a normal one. A Endodontists would be best to see if he had a root canal done. |
