I'd love to see Fedor take apart either Mir or Lesnar.

Fedor is tough as nails, there is no doubt

the heaviest hitter Ive ever seen. For sure heaviest hitter on the ground.

Tim sylvia wasn't expecting that. He didn't hit Fedor once. Then after the fight Tim said "I've never been hit that hard in my life".

Really I don't care to see Mir or Brock fight Fedor, the only slight reason I do is to watch dana white cry. Josh Barnett has a better chance at beating Fedor than Mir or Brock. IMO Mir got a bit lucky against noguira because of a few reasons. Mir's last fight with Brock wasn't all that impressive either.

Brock hasn't done anything to deserve the title, the UFC has been lacking in the HW division. Beating up an old man who was never that great (randy couture). People liked Randy because he won fights he shouldn't have not because he was a badass that whipped everyone. Brock Lost to Mir not that long ago. He beat heath herring which a bunch of people have. Heath got rocked and pretty much gave up, if I had a nickel for everytime he put on a crappy performance like that I'd be rich.

Neither of those guys are anything amazing. Maybe one day though. I think both would get KOd in the first against Shane Carwin. I would love to see Shane fight either one.

Its crazy to see him take people to the ground and you can damn near feel the hits through the ground just watching it

Great vid. I like his workout routines. Lots of unorthodox training methods which I think mimic real life fighting situations better than, say, using simple weights.

Yeah I love the whole hitting the tire with a sledge hammer over and over. You know a bunch of other fighters are watching that like... "WTF? Man I'm doing it wrong."

If for some strange freak reason lesnar won, it would be a HUGE upset in the fighting world

Using a sledge hammer on tires have been a staple for MMA fighters and Boxers for a very long time. It mimics throwing the over hand right/left. Hell it's great for any punch for that matter.

Strange I've seen quite a few major MMA fighters train and never saw anyone else do it. Even a good amount of full training videos.

You haven't seen everyone train. Sledgehammer work gives you great explosiveness.

Not everyone does it, just like not every one trains in BJJ, doesn't mean no one does it.

Fedor is a monster for sure, but take apart Mir? He would take Lesnar apart for sure, but Mir? I find that hard to believe. You forget Mir would not have many losses at all if he didnt crash his motorcycle. His stand up skills are REALLY GOOD now, and he has top level BJJ for a HW. I think Fedor is the best because he knows HOW to win. Hes not the best boxer, wrestler, or BJJ guy. Hes just a winner who takes advantage in the exact time its needed. But take apart Mir? I dont know.

Mino at his peak would have destroyed Mir.

Please, your post shows how little you know about either fighter. Im not a huge Mir fan, I just understand a little more than you about what it takes to fight maybe. Mir has TOP level BJJ, and is VERY quick with it for a HW. Mir has greatly improved boxing as he has been training it hard latley. Have you ever seen Mir NOT dominate, other than when he boozed it up after crashing and almost being killed. Your fooling yourself by watching a highlight video. LOL. I love Fedor and all but he has almost lost to a ton of weaker fighters, even much lighter fighters like Lindland. Look at what arvloski did to Fedor.
Like i said, Fedor is great, and very well might beat mir, but beat him down, I doubt. Mir is a beast and only the ignorant would say otherwise.

Im not basing my thoughts on a highlite video. I have seen plenty of both fighters. Youre all about mir because of youre love for BJJ... nothing else would make anyone say that.

Fedor is pretty well versed on the ground as well. Quite frankly what i feel is Mir cant take the punishment that fedor would deliver.

Mir also had a much better finish over some of the same fighters that Fedor has beaten.

He got his ass whipped by Ian Freeman, who is hardly a top level fighter, and he didn't look particularly good in either fight against Wes Sims, although he looked downright awful in the 2nd Sims fight. The only reason he won the 2nd Sims fight was because Sims' cardio was worse than his, and all those fights were before the motorcycle crash.

You're giving Mir entirely too much credit for beating a very shot looking Big Nog, who was out on his ass against Heath Herring and should have been finished if Herring would have jumped on him and pounded him out, and was being dominated for 2 rounds by Tim Sylvia before the fight hit the ground in the 3rd...

He didnt take much from lesnar, and was/is way more skilled than lesnar.

Lesnar was new and just wanting to explode. If you notice, ever since his fight with mir he has gotten better and definitely watches his feet now. NOt giving lesnar any credit as I think hes a gimmick, but like the above poster, youre giving mir too much credit.

He IS good. I just dont think he stands up to Fedor.

what did he do? If you watch enough of his fights you would know that he always starts out that way making his oponents comfortable. WE all know what happened after that. besides, being SAMBO master is just about the same as BJJ black belt. Same shit but sideways. Ground defense with out weapon. Locks, chokes.. same as BJJ. j

Fedor also has a very short training camp, if I remember correctly, a month for the Arlovski fight due to a film.

Not taking away from AA, he's an awesome fighter, but he wasn't ready for Fedor.

I would put AA over Mir anyways.

I still have the memory of Mir getting his ass handed to him by Brandon Vera. Hell, the beating he took from Pe Da Pano, a BJJ guy who has zero standup.

I don't know, he looked very good, especially after that fight he had before Fedors. remember I told you that Arlovski was back and I would like to see him fighting Fedor. No match for Fedor but he was good. Just got to cocky I think. I don;t buy it for a moment that Fedor didn't plan that kind of trap. He's way too smart.

Didnt i say that Fedor would propably win? I only said that you put Fedor TOO far above Mir. Where Mir is NOW, Fedor would have a harder time than he did with Arvloski or any of the middle weight or powder puff freaks he fought in Japan ever would. I actually think Fedor is the best HW in the world and would beat most on any given night, not because hes the best at any one thing, but he is the best of taking advangtage of fighters weaknesses at just the right moment. He is one of my favorite fighters for sure, but no walking through mir at this time. He would handle Lesnar easy for sure because he fights guys like him ALL the time.
