I'm thinking in this day and age of violent TV, graphic news footage, the internet, etc, that people really don't need a look at John's bloody clothes and glasses to know what gun violence is about.

Typically I have at least heard of some of the bands and artists people go on about here even though I do not listen to music super often, yet most become big enough that even people like me know of them.

I am with you on that. The only time I have ever heard of Oasis is on GFY when someone goes on about how great they are but I have never heard a single song of theirs or heard them mentioned anywhere but here.

I'm much more disturbed by the people on here who have such strong feelings about someone they have no relation with, and whose actions don't affect them.
