I actually have to agree with you there but the only thing about Patron is that it seems like it's for people that do not like the taste of tequila. Patron is like water. If you are looking for that bite that many tequila drinkers thrive on, Patron is not the one for you.

Andy CHOOPA 05-05-2009 10:18 AM

Well since I should be in Mexico right now, but I'm not I may have to celebrate state side haha.

bingo shit is pure crap, but look at half these GFY douchbags 0 class, pee in a bottle and they will enjoy it.

Sly 05-05-2009 01:25 PM

I've never actually had tequila... though I love it when used in food. I can only imagine that I would like it by itself is well. Maybe I'll pick up a bottle next time I'm out... build up my alcohol stash a little bit more. ;-)

smoke 05-05-2009 04:28 PM

Never cared for petron, I like cazadores the best. It's the only tequila I've had that I can drink straight up without salt and lime. Unfortunately it still gives me a nasty hangover so I stay far away!

How are you drinking it? Straight alcohol should not give you a hangover.

I've had it every which way, it doesn't matter. Tequila always and I mean always gives me a brutal hangover. Tequila and red wine are the two that really beat me up the morning after. Beer and vodka are my safe cards, I can drink either of these without much repercussion.

By straight alcohol I mean hard liquor, with no mixers.

Try better tequila and moderation helps too. I have heard people complain about red wine before. I think it was a medical issue . . . . or they just drank it in excess.

I just got back from dinner where I had a Hornitos Anejo margarita. It was probably the best margarita I ever had.

<IMHO>
Hornitos is the most affordable 100% agave (I don't drink any tequila that isn't) reposado worth drinking.

The most affordable Anejo that kicks ass is Tres Generaciones.

Patron is like Nike shoes. It's not BAD tequila, but you're way overpaying for the name. If you like Patron Silver, try Milagro or Don Julio. Just as good if not better, and less expensive.

Anejo's are really where its at though. I have bottles of Herredura Seleccion Suprema, Don Julio 1942, El Tesoro 70th Aniversario, Porfidio Anejo, and others - that being said, Don Julio 1942 is by and far the most incredible tequila I've ever tasted.
</IMHO>

Raf1 05-06-2009 10:34 AM

tequila and Mexican food are the best :thumbsup
