I've never actually had tequila... though I love it when used in food. I can only imagine that I would like it by itself is well. Maybe I'll pick up a bottle next time I'm out... build up my alcohol stash a little bit more. ;-)
|
Never cared for petron, I like cazadores the best. It's the only tequila I've had that I can drink straight up without salt and lime. Unfortunately it still gives me a nasty hangover so I stay far away!

<IMHO>
Hornitos is the most affordable 100% agave (I don't drink any tequila that isn't) reposado worth drinking. The most affordable Anejo that kicks ass is Tres Generaciones. Patron is like Nike shoes. It's not BAD tequila, but you're way overpaying for the name. If you like Patron Silver, try Milagro or Don Julio. Just as good if not better, and less expensive. Anejo's are really where its at though. I have bottles of Herredura Seleccion Suprema, Don Julio 1942, El Tesoro 70th Aniversario, Porfidio Anejo, and others - that being said, Don Julio 1942 is by and far the most incredible tequila I've ever tasted. </IMHO> |
tequila and Mexican food are the best :thumbsup

It still beats out a lot of good tequilas too :2 cents: |

Don Julio is good but my favorite is tequila 1800. If you get the chance to try it please do and let me know how you find it.
Cheers |
