Did anyone attend Free Comic Book Day?
 

I did and I was able to get a good stash of goodies. I also met some righteous comic book writers and artists. What was more nice was that I brought my two nephews and a niece. They are all in their tweens and though I seemed to enjoy it more than them, one nephew of mine had started asking me about The Doom Patrol because he thinks a guy in bandages who can fly is cool. I went with him yesterday to look for DP comics in the discount bin. I made a comic fan of my nephew. How cool is that?

we don't have any comic stores by us, but a friend of ours is going to send us Blackest Night .. one of the free comic books from the day, and the beginning of the next huge event in DC Comics :thumbsup

Blackest Night 0 is pretty darn good. Johns and Reis pretty much hit the ball out of the park with this one. The Wolverine mini-comic and Alien/Predator books are also worth checking out.

I miss this every year because there is no local comic book store.
