Seems registry I find that is not located it the usa charges a heap.

I use www.UKReg.com based in England for some deals.

Price is ok and good control panel etc.

If for legal reasons, shall we also assume you do not need nor want a common extension either?

Just can not see how where a domain is registered that will provide legal protection just because it is out of the US, unless perhaps you are not a citizen of the US in the first place.

I want a .com and I am not a USA citizen and not living there either.
