I don't understand these charges on my statement (filthfreaks.com)
I payed 29.97 to filthfreaks.com so I could download their videos so I can start a porn site and make money with the adult friend finder program.
I thought that the 29.97 was the full charges for one month unlimited access with no restrictions (it says so on the site) but today there are more charges on my statement. There is 39.97 from EPPSPT and 39.97 from tekstar. I have only used this account to make purchase with filthfreaks.com and for 10.95 unlimited bandwidth hosting. Hosting people say this for sure are not their charges, so that only means filthfreaks.com charged me more money. Do you think they are charging me extra now because I want to use their videos to make my own porn site? I am confused, I didn't know they were allowed to do this. These charges will make me over the limit on my account and create more fees that I have to pay. I cannot pay these fees since I haven't made any money with the adult friend finder program yet. Anyone know what I should do? |
welcome to the dishonest world of x-sales :2 cents:
|
I forgot to ask, if they're charging me extra, why are they using different names to charge me?
The first charge for 29.97 showed on statement as BANKWITHDRAWAL. I know this was them because BANKWITHDRAWAL looked funny and I had to call the credit card people to see what it was. But the new charges are from tekstar and EPPSPT. Do filthfreaks.com own all of these companies? |
Now it's war. :1orglaugh

:1orglaugh @ the billing descriptor.

I am all for good promotion etc but thats just plain shady. |
wait.. You got access so you could use THEIR videos on YOUR site and promote a completely different site/company? So basically a thief got fucked over due to cross sales. I have no sympathy for you in this case.

I saw this being done on the porn section of YouTube and thought it could be a good way to make money. They say on their site that I have unlimited downloads with no restrictions. I don't understand why people keep saying things like this about the movies when they're already on the porn section of youtube. I haven't looked yet but I bet there on napsters porn site also. |

I think that's only fair. |
I offered to help Johnny Cochran find a free video editing program in his other thread...and he told me he has been banned from GFY.
He said he got this message You have been banned for the following reason: No reason was specified. Date the ban will be lifted: Never Odd that there was no announcement, no "so fucking banned" or "banned for life" next to his name....and as far as I can tell he broke no rules. Apparently the fix is in and if you tell the truth about a company's shady billing practices (if they advertise here) you get banned. |

Things that make you go hmmmmmm...... |
On another note, I think it's pretty fucked up that a program can hit a guy with 2 prechecked x-sales that charge him $80, and have a billing descriptor of BANKWITHDRAWAL and yet they cry and boo hoo about how it's tubes that are killing the business.
Ummmm...look in the mirror dickheads. Tubes send joins to paysites (good paysites), tactics like these create pissed off customers who refuse to buy again. |

FYI, I bought quickbooks 2009 a few months ago online at their website. My accountant made me do it to replace my 2003 version. Well, I just realized that I've been getting charged $39.95 every month since Dec. for "unlimited support" My wife bought the software and didn't realize she needed to uncheck the x-sell. Yes, it really does happen everywhere. I also just went round and round with Wells Fargo as I just noticed I've been getting drilled $9.99 every month for their online "Bill Pay" on my business account. Turns out I missed a x-sell in their TOS Now THAT is a hidden x-sell. The tubes that rip the whole members areas and the torrent sites have absolutely KILLED the affiliate business. I'm making half of what I did last year as an affiliate. On the flip side...I'm making MORE as a paysite owner because of all the type in traffic I'm getting. So it's a wash out for me. But if I were still only doing affiliate work it would be panic time. No reason for ANYBODY to buy a membership from my affiliate links anymore. They can either watch it for free or type it in these days. :( EDIT: One other thing about that Quickbooks x-sell. You CAN'T cancel it online! They make you call a phone number during business hours and go through one of those 30 minute long automated directories to wait on the "next available representative" It took me about an hour to cancel it. And of course I'm not getting any money back from the months they already took. At least on a porn site a person can get their money refunded with no questions asked by the banks. |
Must be the style to rip customers off.

Are we now condemned to learn that there is a certain crybaby bitch in the house who's incessant tears have resulted in a recent controversial banning? Say it ain't so! Say it ain't so! Say it ain't so! |
Robbie, guys like you and xxxjay have piracy tourettes. That's like all you can fucking talk about.
You're not willing to admit that anything else could possibly be affecting sales other than piracy. Fact is, when a guy gets assfucked into $100 in charges it makes him much less likely to ever join a pornsite again. Porn consumers don't think the way we do, they lump us all together and think we're all the same. Paysites with shady x-sells and shitty members areas hurt this business 10 times more than tube sites with full length movies possibly could. |

This particular banning was some pussy ass shit....since "banned" isn't next to the person's name...the mods just quietly blocked his access to the site in order to satisfy that whiny ass bitch who cried to them over this thread. The "fake nick" who started this thread broke no rules and has posted nothing that was false or libelous, and the crybaby who complained to the mods, along with the mod who banned him, are pussy ass mother fuckers who aren't willing to stand behind their business practices. |

But all of our sales over the last 10 years say DIFFERENT. Those x-sells have always existed on sites (including the mainstream ones I said earlier) Meanwhile all affiliate sales began to drop at the same time that everything was offered for free over the last year and a half. Just in case you're misunderstanding me...I don't particularly care for x-sells. And hidden ones are just plain wrong. But since I actually own paysites and I actually shoot content, and since I've been in the affiliate side of it since 1997, I think I may have a little better perspective on what I'm seeing than some others do. So no need to be insulting. I'm just pointing out facts. X-sells have always been here. And far worse things such as dialers were around too. NEVER stopped people from buying porn. Suddenly our product is available for FREE. Sales are way down. I don't know. Call me crazy, but for some reason I see a direct correlation there. Believe what you want to believe. But believe this...my type in sales are through the roof. I protect my shit as best as I can. My affiliate work where I promote hundreds of paysites that do NOT protect their content? Horrible. I've made a lot of money in adult online. And I'm still making a lot of money. I didn't do it by ignoring the obvious. |
I like how they named it BankWithdrawal. Very classy.
