Not when I can bet it at a sportsbook and get +200 odds or better on Hatton...:winkwink:

goldflower 05-02-2009 12:49 PM

Pacquiao WAR WAR WAR :thumbsup

fuzebox 05-02-2009 01:07 PM

My book is paying +190 on Hatton... Think he has a chance?

fuzebox 05-02-2009 01:17 PM

edit: misread a line

Manowar 05-02-2009 01:35 PM

hatton's got a huge chance, as a boxing fan i'd say it's 50/50 chance on either of them

JustDaveXxx 05-02-2009 01:53 PM

Just a chance, but the likelihood that Hatton wins is very low.

Pics Traffic 05-02-2009 02:16 PM

what time is that fight?

Si 05-02-2009 02:41 PM

Hatton for the win!

HorseShit 05-02-2009 03:08 PM

HorseShit 05-02-2009 04:08 PM

Were you not paying attention when someone told you they can get odds at a sportsbook? Do you speak and understand English sufficiently well to understand the meaning of that sentence?

Pac has NEVER fought a good fighter in his prime, the closest he ever came was a MAB who had already had umpteen wars before he met Pac. A half-shot Erik Morales was enough to beat Pacquiao and a 35 yr old Marquez has taken him to hell and back twice. Hatton's very best days are behind him, but he's still very lively and he's the naturally bigger guy. Hatton has a good chance to take this, or at least make a war out of it if he can fight with the same energy he showed against Malignaggi. If you can find someone offering 2-1 on Pac, it's a pretty good bet to take.

Right now 5dimes.com has Hatton at +210 under their reduced juice option, and I will probably put a few bucks on him. Hatton has a relentless body attack and Pac has been KO'd by body shots before, although granted that was a long time ago. Pac weighed in at 138 without cutting any weight, and Hatton came in at 140 and will probably rehydrate to at least 150. The best way to win long term at boxing and MMA is to take a fight that is in essence a pick em, and put your money on the fighter with the plus odds...

Agreed. The referee will play a big part in this fight. If they let Hatton mug and maul like he's prone to and stick his head up under Pac's chin, use his elbows etc it will be his fight to take.

The main thing I hope for this fight is that it's not a flash KO, one guy getting caught cold early in the fight. I want this to go a while, I want to see a FIGHT tonight!

HorseShit 05-02-2009 06:11 PM
