Rochard 05-01-2009 10:07 AM

I signed up for that site and I instantly got spammed with dozens of "friends" request, mostly from people I don't know or care about. Whatever. Another fucking social networking site to clog up in inbox.

Agreed...

fatfoo 05-01-2009 10:13 AM

So only people you do know can send connection requests?

No. Everybody can request a connection, but it's up to you to approve them or not (or remove them whenever you want).
But only business peope are on the site (invite only), so it's not open to surfers.
And only members can invite others to come onboard.

I suspect the concept of the social network has eluded you.

Not if you don't know how to use them. But that would seem to be a personal problem.

Industry boards, social networks, and alike can, and should, be used for business. Everything is a business opportunity waiting to be discovered. That should be your mindset if you are truly business entrepreneur and in this online game for the long haul.

Whether brokering deals, or networking, and laying ground work for advantageous partnerships in the future. Maybe learning unfamiliar segment(s) of the industry. Gaining some knowledge of other aspects you did not know, whether content side, clips store, traffic, lighting, delivery methods, better web hosting, etc..

Only complete fucking retards use boards, and other assets for trolling people.

Trying their luck to make friends/ business.

voa 05-04-2009 02:56 AM

They just want to extend their network :)

Sarah_Jayne 05-04-2009 06:09 AM

It really slowed down. The first day I couldn't move for people connecting with me but now I get one every now and then. I figure you can't network if you don't 'connect'.

Its more like random mass adding.

twinkley 05-05-2009 11:28 AM

Why bother signing up for a social network at all if you aren't interested in expanding your network base to people you don't know? Otherwise, isn't it just a "friends list"?

Just my $.02 ...

twinkley
