What to do with old domains?

I have been going through all of mine and assessing whether or not they were worth keeping. I've been dropping a bunch due to weak demand, like your self, but others I am adding to my list of "build sites on."

auto blog as in splog? I have found that google will sometimes decide you are a splog and penalize the domain, not completely ban it, but some sort of penalty that likes to persist, I'm not a big fan of putting splogs on domains as a way to store them

parking them isn't exactly that good in google eye's either...

I've been trying to decide the same thing with about 250 or 300 old domains that had auto-sites built on them and are just languishing --- do auto-splogs really get penalized badly? Does auto text-replacing help combat it at all?

i usually install a blog on it and if i dont insert some nice morphing feeds for that niche i just SEO the theme and the 1st post to hit keywords i want.. better than parking it..

I am in the middle of a domain audit and seeing what I have out there and what needs major revamping. After a decade of domain buying this is going to take me ages. If they are adult and don't have much useful on them then they are becoming blogs. Mainstream I haven't figured out yet. Really, most embarrassing is seeing what my older site design attempts looked like.
