I'm just wondering for all you "DECENT" and "PRO" adult webmasters, when you first discovered this business how long before you started making lots of money, months? years? and i also have another question, if you dont own a pay site and just use sponsers and stuff, is that good enough to make tons of cash?, like say maybe 10k a month atleast? by just using sponsers, or is it better to run a pay site!

The best way to make money is to start a paysite. I'd suggest checking out Yahoo and newsgroups to get some content to get started. All of that stuff is public domain so you'll be okay. Look for good general hardcore/teen type stuff because that's the most popular.

I would guesstimate that you'll be up to $10k per month by June, maybe July.

If you don't want to run a paysite, just get some content the way I described above. Make 2 or 3 galleries a day and you should be up to about $10k by August or September.

The money is there, you just have to decide how bad you want it.

Yes, paysites is the way to go. Try to take some good design from other sites.

I started in June 1997. This biz has totally changed. If you are asking how to make $, you may be better off working at mcdonalds, you will make more $.

I wouldn't start right away with a paysite need a decent budget to start off with in order to do it right. Go with AVS not as hard to promote and if done right you can make the money you are looking to make fairly quick.

Most guys hit the newsgroups. That's up to you I guess. Don't forget to try Yahoo groups too because there is a lot of good stuff there.

It's public domain. Nobody is going to hassle you.

Another great way to buy content is to buy a trial membership to a large site and download as much as you can. Cancel before the trial ends, all the content you download from paysites is licensed for you to use since you paid for the access.

Google.com Image Search also offers tons of "public domain" pictures. You'll love this great money saver!
