Speaking of cross sales...

Though they are unchecked, I had my first experience with GoDaddy last week. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!! You have to REALLY pay attention or you will end up buying all kinds of extra shit for your domain that you don't want along with some other domains.

I was blown away at how confusing they make it to buy or renew a domain. I bet they hose WAAAAAAY more people than this industry does. I actually thought I needed half the shit they were trying to sell me.

And BTW... I welcome a Papa Johns cross sale.

Godaddy have to be the worst in the business at it, and they've even added another entire page in between the search and purchase in the last few months for even more shit you don't need and never want.

Just scroll all the way to the bottom and say no thanks :)

GoDaddy's process is more so hand holding than up selling. Don't forget that all those TV ads are targeting non webmasters who don't even know what they need to get a website up and running.

Besides, the final charges are clearly spelled out prior to payment.

oh come on!!!! Godaddy isnt horrible! sure you'll need to look at the damn form the first time you buy a domain but its easy to memorize where to click to buy!
they have great support, great UI and 0.99cent promotions all the time!
