Howzit!

Hawaii was beautiful, it rained a bit but it didn't slow us down. My bestfriend and I surfed both sides of the island, Southshore more than North as the waves there were double overhead and beyond. I wiped out hard at Little Macaha in Napili, got held down for about 20 seconds, and the leash almost wraped around my neck... 20 seconds doesn't sound long, but it sure felt like forever.

sleep

Reflecting it was pretty low-key, but it was just what I needed ~ and I got a killer tan.

i'm old enough to remember watching all the ABC Superstar competitions. They were great. Wish they could still do them today. Howard Cosell was the host and did the play by play. All the biggest sports superstars from every sport would compete against each other in about 10 events. If it was around today it would be like a 100 meter race with Alan Iverson, Marshall Faulk, Pavel Bure, Oscar De Lahoya(sp?), Kobe Bryant, Ichiru the baseball player.

The boxers were always the worst athletes for some reason, they would even finish last in the weight lifting competition.

Smokin Joe was in the swimming race and I think he realized about 5 meters from the start that he didn't know how to swim! He started thrashing around and sinking......... wonder if anybody on the Net has that tape.
