Good movies

Is it me or they don't make good movies anymore. I'm talking about stuff like Apocalypse Now, A Clockwork Orange, Chinatown, Taxi Driver, Vertigo, Blue Velvet, etc. I'm tired of blockbusters such as X-men or fast and furious. Help :(

Yea, the good movies are hard to find nowadays.

You are right but do you think they would make billions of dollars with quality movies? No
I would love to see from time to time movies like Road to perdition,Heat,Leaving Las Vegas,Criminal....and many more

I think that there are probably more good films than ever now, you just won't necessarily see them at the multiplex or advertised on TV, radio, etc.

Sure the blockbusters and their stars get all the newspaper, and magazine columns but just have a look at the films Clint Eastwood has directed in the last couple of decades:

# Gran Torino (2008)
# Changeling (2008)
# Letters from Iwo Jima (2006)
# Flags of Our Fathers (2006)
# Million Dollar Baby (2004)
# Mystic River (2003)
# Blood Work (2002)
# Space Cowboys (2000)
# True Crime (1999)
# Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997)
# Absolute Power (1997)
# The Bridges of Madison County (1995)
# A Perfect World (1993)
# Unforgiven (1992)

Not every one an all time classic, but several are outstanding films that stand up to your list.

Good movies are made they just aren't marketed very well.
