Dunno, but it can scare the crap out of people here around NYC!

MaDalton 04-28-2009 04:19 PM

at least once

SilentSound 04-28-2009 05:26 PM

...the 707 can do it (remember the demonstration flight?), the 747 (okay, more fuckin weight) can do it as well. Keep it at 1G if you can, it's possible I believe.

maybe some more pilot forumers can shed some light on this!

pussyluver 04-28-2009 05:32 PM

I suspect it could? But glad I won't be on the flight. Bet most of the time, folks aren't buckled in on AF-1. Some socialist might spill his drink?

WiredGuy 04-28-2009 05:38 PM

I wouldn't want to be on it if they try.

dude I fuckin' would :thumbsup
but strictly in the front-left seat...

mynameisjim 04-28-2009 05:45 PM

With enough altitude it could. The pilot would probably need to ease the nose down as it rolled to maintain airspeed and not stall but I'm sure it could.

LiveDose 04-28-2009 07:02 PM

Ever see the interview with the pilot who did it? His boss chewed him out. Asked him what he thought he was doing. He replied "selling planes" and went on to explain that it was a 1G manouveure.

"You know that. We know that.. Just don't do it again"

nice no risk maneuver, lol

Mr Pheer 04-28-2009 09:34 PM

Yes, it can. A 747 has plenty of power to spare and a barrel roll is a positive-g maneuver.

baddog 04-28-2009 09:36 PM

Since any Air Force plane the President is on is considered Air Force One, without a doubt.

bbobby86 04-29-2009 02:32 AM

yes yes yes...
