My latest design: London Keyes' Official Website

I just finished the design and 100% CSS coding. Still working on the last touches, Elevated X integration, etc. Check it out:

that's bitchin! by the way, I didnt know you did elevated x integrations. It's hard to find people that can do those. I'll hit you up about a couple of integrations next week.

mikeyddddd 04-28-2009 08:02 AM

index_08 is not lined up (moved right) on IE 6

Suggestion:
Play with your kerning/tracking on the "London" portion of the logo so the letters flow together like a script should.

I actually designed her blog as well... but I have nothing to do with what she writes on it, or the size images she uses. I know it looks all over the place now, but after I deliver a blog design, there's nothing I can do about what the client chooses to add to it :(

PSD CSS XHTML 04-28-2009 08:30 AM

I'm not here to knock you. I actually kind of like the design, but the way you have coded that is.. well..

How long have you been doing CSS? The way you have that site sliced and stacked, you might as well do it with tables, and the naming structure is.. well..

Hit me up for some tips that will change the way you work with CSS.

czarina 04-28-2009 08:33 AM

never had a complain about my css before, but I'm all about learning new tricks. Hitting you up now

pornguy 04-28-2009 08:37 AM

Oh....

Well, I mean the structure of the theme is off because navigation is not there.

For instance, I go to a post and want to go back to the home page. There is no link back to home page. Regular practice among theme creators is to link the header back to homepage.

Another, problem is that the blog posts are not linked to other post to navigate.

http://www.londonkeyes.com/2009/04/2...ting-a-tattoo/

No link to home page...no link to next entry....navigational problems.

I hope that was constructive criticism of London's theme. Unless she requested it like that.

this is her normal calibur of work.

Chum terrible.

romeo22 04-28-2009 11:10 AM

Super design czarina!!!

Raf1 04-28-2009 11:31 AM

I like the design. It's pretty clear and easy to navigate. A lot of the tour pages I've seen lately are just too heavy to look at, if that makes any sense at all. It's been a long day for me :)

_Richard_ 04-28-2009 11:46 AM

i really like the design!

Elixir 04-28-2009 11:47 AM

Hm...not bad at all...

JD 04-28-2009 12:09 PM

I think the design looks great czarina. The blog does look at bit on the sad side though... but what we think doesn't matter. We're not the client.

devine 04-28-2009 01:13 PM

Although I like the amateur look and the fact that pics are not retouched, I think some color correction is needed on several of the pics. Other than that, is a nice amateur style tour.

Re: blog. Well, it has quite a lot of mistakes as someone said, even in your own site's version that looks better than the live version. On a side note, it's always a good idea to control content so the owner doesn't fuck up everything, ie keeping always the same pic size, the same alignment, fonts and such

actually, it does have navigation. ElevatedX is almost done; all it needs is the content in the MyGirlfriends section. This is a Custom ElevatedX Integration not the run of the mill reality integrations you find out there.
Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click on See More or Join Now. Or at the very bottom, follow the links to Twitter, her Blog, etc.

I meant "in site" navigation, those are all "off site" links, not navigation. All other links I see goes to join.php, while ElevatedX has the option to link to episodes, auto update pictures, create pages, and so on.

btw, unlike other posts I'm trying to be helpful here, and just letting you know you'll need to fix quite a bunch of things or ElevatedX will never work since you can't have any mistake in your html coding to make XSL work and you alredy have 27 HTML errors and 126 CSS errors. Try to fix those or you'll go crazy when trying to implement ElevatedX, my designer and coders says EX is a bitch :2 cents:

wargames 04-28-2009 03:23 PM

good job babe :)

Young 06-13-2009 07:11 AM

I know this thread is 2 months old but wait....so slicing in Photoshop and using the CSS export tool all of the sudden makes you a 100% CSS coder?

So you're using it more as a buzzword than for good practice and design?

I'm guessing...I may be wrong.

Something that can easily be taken care of by adjusting the function.php file.

CaptainHowdy 06-13-2009 07:51 AM
