I've been *officially* invited to join SAG (Screen Actors Guild)!! I managed to get the official invite in 5 months (under a different, NON-porn name...so don't even think it! :winkwink:)...it can take years, I know several actual actors, who do the whole headshot-submitting, auditioning, theater work, etc routine full-time who have been trying for 5 yrs+ to get the invite. I am ROCKING OUT here today! I am so stoked, I might even get headshots done after I fork over my initiation dues! Thank you, EscortBiz, for planting this idea in my head 4 or so years ago! Sorry it took me so long to decide to pursue it!

You cannot have a speaking part on a television show unless you belong to the appropriate union...I am AFTRA must-join (meaning they keep any checks I get from AFTRA productions until I have satisfied the $1300 initiation dues) and I am SAG-eligible (SAG makes you pay the entire $2335 up-front)...I have been regular background on some shows as well as a feature on a few tv shows (primetime AND cable...I am topless and full on NAKED a few times on an HBO series....season 2 should begin airing in late May or June) and movies coming out in 2010. :thumbsup

I thought you only had to work on like 5 or 6 movies to get your SAG card,

or is invited to sag something different than getting your card?

My sister did a good bit of extra work in New Orleans on a few different movies and they said she only needed about 16 more hours for her SAG card.

But perhaps I am mistaken.
