Lightspeed crew was there, and the show went well! Lots of good people, good networking, and good times!

Props to PlatinumBucks for hosting the excellent parties in the suite each night, and to Fay, Alex, and Lee for putting the whole thing together! Cybernet has always been one of my favorite shows.

It was a blast. Props to SleazyDream for the helicopter rides. Rode with AaronM and his model and had a pretty interesting flight ;)
Big Thumbs Up to the PlatinumBucks crew for keeping the drinks flowing in the suite every night. Wasn't really anything else going on at night. At least everyone knew where everyone else would be every night.
Also big kudos to Sweet-T and the NatNet for the good time at Rain the last night. Awesome club and we had the best spot all to ourselves. Damn that Tanker for stealing all the chicks lol
Got back from the club and gambled drunk on the $5 slots. Won over $1000 in 10 minutes and that sobered me up enough to realize it was time to quit while I could leave Vegas with more than I brought :1orglaugh

Had a great time. It was worth attending, but there were a lot of people noticably absent from the event. You can read all about it in YNOTNews this Thursday.

Question, if you need to choose was this the right show or is Internext the right show? Which is the better of the two?

internext has EVERYTHING but sometimes too huge, for opportunity to mingle with people of all aspects in this industry on a more personal level cybernet expo is great.

I had a great time, met some interesting people (Lensman, LightSpeed, SleazyDream, among others) and saw some people I had not seen in a while (AaronM, Tucker, Michael), made some potential contacts, heard some interesting seminars, and won some money on the tables.

All in all, a good time in my book, and while it may take me a week to get caught up with my backlog now, it was worth while.

Possibly a better venue for conducting business since there is less fluff to deal with, and it is small enough that you can usually get at least a few minutes to talk to people that might be to wasted or busy during Internext. :thumbsup

clickpimp 11-25-2002 07:06 PM

definitely quality vs. quantity with regards to cybernet vs. internext. good place to meet folks in a much more relaxed environment than the big shows.

had a blast - props to aly from python for her work as well keeping those panels focused :thumbsup

SCOOTER 11-25-2002 07:47 PM

SO Sorry Becky

And no i don't hate you You were the only one with a smile all the time !!

:thumbsup " Platinum Becky YOU ROCK "!!!!!!:thumbsup

Kimmykim 11-25-2002 07:54 PM

Shows are what you make of them, just like the rest of this business. Go expecting to do well, make contacts, and you usually will. Go expecting to spend all your time drunk and partying and you can do that too.

It's all in what you look for, whether there are 10 people or 10 thousand.

Thanks Jay -- it is the case -- I've been to gatherings with 20 people total at them -- one day things -- and still managed to come out of them with business if that was what I went to do. I've also gone to shows with no real plan, nothing specific I wanted from them, and gotten very little back. All what you make it.
