i'm sure my mom and aunts are in mourning - they all loved that show. I despised it, that theme song alone makes me wanna hurl.

Maude was good, interesting that her obits all mention Golden Girls first - Maude was a breakthrough sitcom character, had important social significance.

for me the reason would be that Golden Girls is still running while Maude was never broadcasted over here. i heard about it for the first time today

I loved maude when I was a kid. Havent Seen it in years

I remember seeing her appearances on All in the Family as Maude before her own show started. My mom loved her.

I still watch the Golden Girls re-runs. Seems the older I get, the more I "get" it.

I saw her just a couple months ago on one of the Comedy Central roasts... She was still dishing it out! Too bad.
