no matter how we look at it, we will have to continue to support GM. you think we (as americans) are going to let one of our biggest car manufacturers die? no way.

the problem is no one wants to buy their cars because the economy is in the shitter and people are fearing they will loose their jobs. why would you want to go out and buy a brand new $20-$30,000 car if you might loose your factory job tomorrow?

plus a lot of GM sales dont just come from consumers buy cars, but government and commercial contracts to purchase vehicles, so the chance of them just "disappearing" is pretty slim to nil

either way yeah im pissed that i work my ass off and my tax dollars are going to these big wigs at GM so they can continue to get their $500,000 a year salary, but honestly, what are we going to do?

If you are mad they are taking money from the government then stop buying from GM. Has Ford taken any money yet?

I dont buy from GM. I buy imports :winkwink:

no offense, but the service you get from GM dealerships suck, including Cadillac. When I take my Infiniti in to the dealer, im treated like gold. last time they were asking me if i wanted to test drive any cars while i wait... just for the hell of it

same with my Audi. just got an invite from teh dealer to check out the new Porsche and setup a time to drive it.

When i was looking for another car we went to the Cadillac and GMC dealership. walked around for about 20 minutes at the GMC dealer, until finally a salesman approached us (keep in mind there was about 2 other couples on the lot). After being told by him that i should buy something i dont want, i just walked away and drove off.

Same with Cadillac, couldnt even get someone to come out to the lot even tho my cars value is MORE than any car on their lot. maybe because im young, but i dont know. either way service starts when you pull up on the lot and THAT is why they are going under.

Lifelong grudge based off one dealership? Naah, dump that dealer..
Here I bought a Cadilliac... Drove it for a month, didnt like it.. Took it back,
got a refund no questions asked.. Didnt buy a different car there..

They have class and my respect for that. They're Cadillac just wasnt the comfy big boat I was used to driving like back in the day.

They should just let the chips fall as they should. Chrysler seems to be ready for creditor protection. Guess who gets to keep them afloat while they are in Chapter 11?? The Government and your tax dollars.
