It was 52% / 47%. The 52% voted "yes" for Prop 8 which meant "no" to gay marriage. Do the math - What percentage of people voted "yes" for prop 8 thinking they were voting for gay marriage?

While I support gay marriage, I think this was the wrong place and time for this asshat to attempt to advance his platform for gay marriage.

Prop 8 was huge here in California. The night before the election the cops spent their entire night just driving up and down the street ticketing people for putting up signs for or against it. It was almost comical.

I remember a time when my grandmother would see a black man and a black woman holding hands and she would call the white woman a "zebra". I still find it hard to believe that people think that way.

It's only a matter of time before gays have full legal rights to marriage.

No matter what you think about Perez or gay marriage, it was a completely valid question, politically hot and most importantly-approved by the Miss USA pageant.

No matter what Miss California thinks about gay marriage, her answer was just isolating and totally, undiplomatic.
No matter what your opinion of gay marriage is, Miss USA should be a beauty queen for the entire nation and that means not isolating anyone or any group of people-whether it be a religious group, political group or those with a different sexual preference.

I don't disagree with her opinion and I support her right to think that but truth of the matter is....her answer wreaked and she was BOOED by the audience.
