This is the low-downest show I have ever seen and also some of the funniest shit ever. Apparently they have camera crews follow cheating spouses around and then show the "victim" the evidence and turn him/her loose on the cheaters. Then, the host stands there and says pompous insulting stuff to the cheater while the victim screams and hits people.

That's showbusiness!

It was on the local UPN affiliate, but it's over now.

Now, Max-X is on. This is the best caught-on-tape show in the world. Tonight is "fight night", just tons of brawls.

it's bullshit.

A. the pairings are ridiculous - like decent looking 30 year old women with broke ugly 60 year olds

B. it may be different there, but you can't profit off the use of someone's image/footage etc here - you have to sign a release form. Even for those "on the street" interviews.. if movies have to have that "not based on actual persons" disclaimer it's hardly likely that they can use someone's intimate life story on a shitty tv show..

plus it's just shit - the pre "confrontation" crew in front of the whiteboard thing is stupid and the dude's just a dick.

I've never seen the show before tonight, but your observations are way off from what I saw.

1) The matchup was pretty average. An average guy and a couple of average girls.

2) I don't know Australian law, but some of the biggest shows in America are things like Cops and America's Most Wanted and you know those people didn't all agree to be on television. Not to mention all the "Live at Five" type of investigations where they are always confronting people and accusing them of shit. Their faces never get fuzzed out and I doubt they signed waivers.

3) I didn't see any pre-confrontation thing.

I will agree that the host is a shit, though. He was all up in dude's face. "If you love her, why did you do it?" "Be a man for once in your life." I thought he was gonna get jawed.

Then I would get to see it on Max-X.
