There's nothing more entertaining than seeing beautiful women playing consummate villains and thoroughly enjoying it. These "badass bitchez" smolder and sizzle in the silver screen, leaving us wanting more. Though some are portrayed with a twisted sense of sympathy, others we can only watch in awe as they exercise their being totally deliciously wantonly evil. We even get to revel with them as they commit every single crime. Censors be damned, they make bad look so sexy.

Here's my favorite list (in no particular order) of the best and most memorable bad girls in movies that have entertained me through the years.

Selina Kyle (Batman Returns)
Michelle Pfeiffer plays a mousy secretary to uber-creepy Christopher Walken. But after paying the price for snooping around, she's reborn as a bi-polar psychotic bitch who really really likes cats. She also turns out to be the perfect foil for Michael Keaton's Batman. Goth on tight-fitting lycra never looked so fine!

Best Murderous Moment:
Her coup de grace involves kissing with 50,000 volts of electricity passing through her Michelle Pfeifer lips.

Best Quip:
"You poor guys. Always confusing your pistols with your privates."

Peyton Flanders (The Hand That Rocks The Cradle)

The amazing Rebecca de Mornay plays a nanny who's out for revenge on the family she's working for. Though it's hard to imagine a white woman playing a domestic helper, Rebecca did well as a hellbent nanny out to systematically eliminate her employers after they had destroyed her family. Her tragedy makes you want to root for her, but Ernie Hudson playing a mentally challenged gardener becomes her unlikely adversary. Compare her to Jenny Seagrove as the murderous Druid in William Friedkin's "The Guardian" and you'll know why she's in my list.

Best Murderous Moment:
Our handywoman Rebecca is so good with contraptions that she "fixed" the ceiling of her employer's greenhouse. So when a bitchy post-Days Of Our Lives Julianne Moore tries to close the ceiling down, a rain of shattered glass demonstrated her character's demise (but not her acting career).

Best Quip:
"When your husband makes love to you, it's MY face he sees. When your baby's hungry, it's MY breast that feeds him. Look at you! When push comes to shove... you can't even breathe!"

Catherine Tramell (Basic Instinct)

Desperate B-movie actress Sharon Stone becomes a celebrated breakout talent for uncrossing her legs. But not before using the icepick as a viable instrument for some twisted form of feminist justice. (Mind you, we don't really know if she really killed anyone or not.) Stone plays a bisexual writer who crosses paths with Michael Douglas. He plays "did she" or "didn't she" with her while getting acquainted with her privates. Later on, I realized that sometimes, revealing one's vagina -- even when it's CGI -- can spell success.

Best Murderous Moment:
In the heat of coitus, a woman expresses the meaning of penetration to her male lover with an icepick on the chest.

One of the few movies that toyed with lesbian sexual tension since Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve's throat-lumping tryst in "The Hunger". The underappreciated Theresa Russell is a golddigger who private investigator Debra Winger suspects has "serial husband-killer" hidden in her resume.

Best Murderous Moment:
A millionaire celebrates his nuptials with gin tonic. Her wife ran out of club soda so she substituted poison instead.

Bridget Gregory (The Last Seduction)

Linda Fiorentino starred in this career-defining role in John Dahl's 1992 homage to noir films. Fiorentino plays a masterful black widow who manipulates all her adoring suitors to further her money grubbing schemes. In whatever pickle she's in, she always manages to squeeze her way out of it.

Best Murderous Moment:
An excruciating scene where Bridget introduces pepper spray as a breath freshener on Bill Pullman.

Best Quip:
"I believe what we're looking for is a certain horse-like quality?"(referring of course to the size of the man's

Xenia Zirgavna Onatopp (Goldeneye)

Famke Janssen plays a wonderfully sexy but f**ked up henchwoman against former Bond guy Pierce Brosnan. With a character that would make S&M enthusiast Paul Verhoeven proud, Xenia is a Russian ex-KGB agent who relishes killing mostly men (she's an equal opportunity killer after all) while in foreplay. Don't you just love a girl who's loud in bed?

Best Murderous Moment:
Xenia shows off her lovely thighs by crushing a big fat guy in the suana.

Best Quip:
"This time, Mr. Bond, the pleasure will be all mine."

Alex Forrest (Fatal Attraction)

Glenn Close plays up the parable of marital infidelity as she defines the phrase "clinging mistress" to a whole new level. Her sex scenes with Michael Douglas made grown men blush. Her scare tactics to get more of Douglas' attention made men piss on their pants. Close has managed to make herself the poster girl for stalking mistresses from hell. Approving feminists around the world turned her failing Hollywood career around.

Best Murderous Moment:
Boiling pet bunnies with fur and all. The tub scene is also priceless.

Best Quip:
"Bring the dog, I love animals... I'm a great cook."
