I usually fly Lufthansa or United for that part of the world. :2 cents:

There are no direct flights from LAX to BCN - I always take AA through JFK. Right now Delta has some great deals

But the best I would say are British Air and Air France - :2 cents:

Would be coming from Chicago most likely. Will determine that after we decide what airlines to take.

i flew airlingus last year, had to change planes in Dublin but not the worst place to spend a few hours..or more. Avoid London at all cost.
However i believe they no longer fly from LAX..

We flew Iberia last year (DC-Barcelona-Rome --- we had a ton of AA miles to use) and their business class was FABULOUS. :thumbsup :thumbsup

For me that honour goes to KLM, They've given me food poisoning twice. Bastardos.

I don't mind Iberia, only airline that has ever upgraded me, unfortunately it was a 30 minute flight on a 40 seater plane and the only difference I could see was I got a packet of almonds instead of peanuts.

Last time I flew on Iberia I missed my connection in Madrid back to the States because the pilots flying us from Barcelona to Madrid arrived late -- And they weren't coming off another plane, I'm convinced the morning coffee / breakfast just went a little over!

This is What happened to me and why insist IBERIA is the worst :

I had a Stop in Madrid, I used it logically to fill me in with all kinds of local Alcohol Brands. Half of the night sweeped out of my mind and i do not recall it. .... Anyways had the fucking hangover of my life. A head Ache was killing me, i was still trowing up in the plane. I ask the Flight atendant for an Aspirin or something for the pain, 3 times and she didnt bring Shit.
Later way Later she comes and says "ohhhhh u wanted an Aspirin right ?" ......My HeadAche after hours was going by then ..... and she said "Would have been something important i wouldnt have forgott it"
WTF something important ? like what ? Heart Attack ?

Second Issue

My wife was flying from Spain to Colombia 11 hours flight with our Son at that time 3 months old.
It came out there were too many babys in that flight so there were not enough beds for babys. My wife had to put my Son to sleep on the floor.
At one time in that long flight she fehlt to sleep and woke up and the baby was not there, he crawled up 3 sits behind. She Pick it up and he had his mouth full with dirt, hair and all kinds of shit.
At the time of the meal they didnt even had a way to warm a Baby bottle.
And by the Flight Back she lost her plane connection from Spain to Germany and had to wait 8 hours with our 3 month Old Son after a 11 hours flight in a waiting room Area, even thought it was Iberias fault they provided Nothing.

IBERIA SUCKS

That's normal for the Spanish pilots, they don't go to the morning flights until the pubs close :winkwink:

I have heard to avoid London before. Are they really notorious for losing luggage?
