New Depeche Mode Album
 

Listening to it on Spotify (great service btw)..about halfway through. So far my verdict is that it isn't bad but not their best. Last album was better. That said, their albums always grow on me and he could sing the phone book to me and I would be happy.

Wrong is the stand out track so far.

The last album I bought of theirs was Violator, must have been back in the early 90's. Showing my age now.

Which of their half a dozen albums since then is a must buy would you say?

I liked; Wrong, In Sympathy and Perfect.

Interesting Depeche Mode rock again !!

After listening to the whole thing Wrong, Miles Away/The Truth Is, Corrupt,In Sympathy (very old mode sounding) and Perfect are the ones that stuck in my head afterwards.

The one previous to this was actually pretty good - Playing The Angel

Certainly not everybody's cup of tea but those that do like them like them get really into the band.

I haven't checked out this album yet, but I got the last one with "Precious" on it. I liked it, but it didn't feel as dark as some of their old stuff. I will have to get this one.

I always liked "Songs Of Faith and Devotion", haven't listened to this one yet.

I love love love Depeche Mode, so much so that my "66" comes from the remake of Route 66 :)

Been considering the new DM album; used to love that band and their brilliant singles.
Enjoy The Silence and People Are People are among my faves.

Anybody heard the new Lily Allen? I find her voice irresistible, and her recent pics (in SPIN and Q] look smokin' hot. Gotta love the way she can take a song titled Fuck You and make it both upbeat and critically acclaimed.

Interesting. I used to listen to them in college and that was eons ago. The boys must be approaching 50 years of age now. I will check it out.
