When I was a teen, recording and sharing music off rock radio was considered piracy, even if I wasn't selling my tapes.

But the fact is most of us wouldn't have been able, wouldn'a had the money, to buy the music on record or CD. so if we couldn't pirate, we wouldn't have learned to like the music and later, as adults with money, want to buy the music...

Maybe Tubes and Torrents are opening up a future market for us...

(another interesting take?)
:D

Your interesting take is that perhaps tubes and torrents are creating a future market by giving kids porn so as adults they may pay for it?

PS you as a kid could still learn to like the music by listening to it on the radio which was free from which you cite people pirated it from.

I used to crawl into the back of the parental closet and find the stack of Gent, Penthouse and Playboy that was behind the suitcases and shoe rack.

So yeah it might be inevitable that slack parenting will do that.

Then there's the fact that not every 18 or 21 year-old has, or can have, a credit card yet.

No, tubes and torrents aren't "giving" kids porn. Tubes are legit in propagating (even long) sample content. Kids might access that, like parental closets.

Torrents suck IMO because there's no limits there.

BTW sex is not bad for kids; much less than violence as far as I'm concerned.

:D
