Any good nutritional planning sites out there?

I got this friend and she's been riding the shit out of me over what I eat continuously for the last couple months. She's a vegetarian and insists on coking for me at least once a week to teach me the greatness of vegetables. She makes some incredible food, and I'm always down for someone cooking dinne,r but it's just not the shit I want to eat. So anyways, I am finally admitting defeat to her. I do need to change the way I eat. I am all about a huge chunk of meat, lots of grease, fat & salt. I can cook pretty well, but I definitely need to start upping my greens, and keeping my fats/salts down a bit more. Heart problems run in my family and I'm probably getting to the age where I need to straighten this shit out if I want to live a long healthy life. Problem is, I dunno wtf to eat that I'll actually like that's gonna do any good. I need a site with a good selection of recipes or way to plan out some new meals to try eating. I dunno really, something that makes suggestions as to what I could try eating to maintain a balanced diet is what I'm looking for I guess. Anything out there like that? I don't particularly feel like going to see a nutritionist or anything. I just want to look over some recipes/meals and maybe rack out a better diet that doesn't require me to sacrifice too much of the food I like now in the process.

spam me?

Why doesnt she meat if she is such the nutrionist? Eating a well balanced diet including meat is healthier than just eating veg.

That's what i say, then I get a lecture on protein replacements and yadda yadda. I don't give a shit what she eats, I am concerned about what I eat, and I fully intend on continuing to eat meat. I will admit though my diet could use some reworking. At the moment I tend to eat whatever the hell I feel like eating, which includes good heaps of grease, plenty of salt, and probably not quite enough veggies. Either way I figured my BMI to about 25.8, which doesn't make me obese by any means, but does plop me just into the overweight category. I could stand to lose about 10lbs, and that's probably manageable by modifying what I eat, as I do stay fairly active day to day. I'm cheking out this site for now http://www.mealsmatter.org/ and seeing what I can take from it.

You need to add some structure and if you start working out and add some targets at the same time you will find it a lot easier.

Whilst this isnt exactly what you are looking for if you scroll down the list of foods you could easily put together a meal plan with the meat/veg/fruit etc listed. http://www.muscleandstrength.com/art...ding-diet.html
