Addicted to garlic

and also to EVOO= extra virgin olive oil

Lately I have been really addicted to garlic. I eat 2-3 cloves a day, minced. I don't know what's wrong with me, it's just so good. I will even eat pasta with nothing but just olive oil with lightly sauteed garlic (lots of garlic) and nothing else. I don't really care if my breath smells to be honest because I'm home all day by myself.

Is anyone else addicted to garlic? it's so good. I love the smell of garlic.

Does your house or room smell like garlic from eating so much of it? The cooking, and the breath. I have garlic phases, and I love kimchi. I think garlic goes good with lots of food.

Klen 04-19-2009 03:40 AM

I like garlic too but i more prefer onion.

Mr Pheer 04-19-2009 03:44 AM

I like to cut the top off of garlic, wrap it in foil, drizzle some olive oil on the top and bake it until its mushy.

Then just squeeze it out onto french bread. Best garlic bread ever.

2 - 3 cloves of garlic a day??? Manalive... do you live alone?? or does your partner walk around with cotton wool stuffed up their nose all day :1orglaugh?

Dirty F 04-19-2009 03:46 AM

My life changed forever when I found I could buy pre-peeled garlic.
For some reason, I've noticed in Canada + Europe, garlic is very sticky. In AU, shelling garlic is no issue.

Peeled garlic is great. Crush it w/ the flat of your knife, drizzle some oil, herbs, salt, sundried tomatoes. Yum

I try to air my house out so it doesn't get too gross. I went through a phase once where I constantly was eating angel hair with minced/pressed garlic and I was getting kind of nauseous from all the olive oil/garlic but I took a break and now I'm ok. Even if my place smells like garlic I wouldn't know because I'm desensitized to it.

I like Kimchi too! I haven't eaten it in a long time tho. I'm not Korean but I do like Kimchi a lot. Kimchi has a strong smell too. I don't care though, I'll eat anything even if it smells strong.

Not EVERY day.Sometimes I do take a break and go for a few days without one. Is 2-3 cloves really a lot? I am only talking about cloves, not the whole head. 2 cloves is not really a lot. That's the minimum I need for a dish, otherwise it's not strong enough.

I live alone and work at home. I can smell of garlic as much as I like. If I need to meet with someone I guess I will stop eating garlic for 72 hrs in advance so the smell gets out of my body.

I've tried those too but I like the one with peel better. I have a garlic press and once I press it lightly the peel just falls off. A press really makes a difference. It makes the garlic taste stronger and you can really taste it. It's like the whole pasta is infused with garlic in every morsel.

I eat garlic with pretty much every meal to varying degrees. it's pretty hard for me to put meat on my plate without some garlic..

I have not tried this yet but I read about it on-line. It takes long from what I read 40 min baking etc but I'll try it soon.

bausch 04-19-2009 05:15 AM

I really like ginger too. I forgot how good it was. Today I had ginger chicken, it was so good. I also started to drink ginger tea.

HorseShit 04-19-2009 05:17 AM

Garlic is one of the best things for your body :thumbsup

I love it too but don't eat it enough because I'm too lazy!

RoCkMaN 04-19-2009 05:24 AM

BRISTOL, England, April 16 (UPI) -- Police in England said they arrested a man as part of an investigation into garlic scented liquid that was spread around a court building.

Authorities said at least two courtrooms at Bristol Crown Court had to be shut down Tuesday due to the potent smell causing headaches and nausea, The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

A substance believed to be garlic oil was spread along radiators and plant pots in the building by a man who was photographed by CCTV cameras, investigators said.

A 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, Avon and Somerset Police said. They said the case is being handled as an act of criminal damage or an offense of administering a noxious substance.

Garlic is fantastic. I use it religiously in cooking, especially tomato sauce. Yum!

My hometown is Gilroy aka The Garlic Capitol of the world. You should visit there for the Garlic Festival this summer. It's a garlic lover's dream come true, I'm sure you'd love it.

:)

Ozarkz 04-19-2009 01:55 PM

CDSmith 04-19-2009 01:58 PM

Like garlic but don't want the aligator breath that goes with it? Just add parsely flakes to your meal.

It'll prevent you from having the death-causing garlic burps.

Porn Producer 04-19-2009 02:09 PM

garlic is toxic and poisonous.
