but...the report says the guys are in jail....I dont think they are as theres an appeal going on....or are they?

At least one of the guys was in thailand as desicion was read..

The verdict said they were guilty of making copyrighted material available for download.

So does google.

1. Google doesn't host torrent files with copyright material they don't own.

2. Why can't people get it in their heads it's called The PIRATE Bay. They knew exactly what they were doing, the site was built to PIRATE, that's why it's named........ The PIRATE Bay. They wouldn't honor request to remove torrent files either. They were complete dicks and laughed in anyones face that requested they do so.

The sentence is nice.

Unfortunately, they always stressed the point that this trial is only a stage for them. Their plan was always to appeal.

they just became heros.

so dumb for the court to put them up on a pedestal like that.

good job. taking all of their assets and leaving them on the street was the way to go.
