Thinking about a car...

Ran across this one today... 125 miles on it..It's a custom job done my West Coast Customs for the Learning channel show "Street Customs". 20-inch wheels and tires, upper and lower grilles from Street Scene Equiptment, audio upgrades from Polk Audio, Roadwire leather interior with West Coast Customs logo embossed, Stillen brake and rotors...

Nice, but I'm thinking a 30 year old single guy might appreciate it more than I.

I always figured you'd eventually get a purple car.

HookUPcom 04-17-2009 08:26 PM

you need that...

stickyfingerz 04-17-2009 08:26 PM

I think its sharp. Id scoop it up if I was you. Hard to find something original like that so well done. :2 cents:

Sly 04-17-2009 08:28 PM

Would a 30-year-old single guy really buy that? I hope not...

munki 04-17-2009 08:30 PM

If your gonna get custom, always better to do it yourself...

You never know what/where/how things we're done to your ride unless you booked the shop yourself.

That being said, something about a dropped escalade, with some tasteful accents screams pk to me...

(ps my roomie and her man are getting married this weekend, and honeymooning up in WA... anything I should tell them to check out?)

Si 04-17-2009 08:44 PM

Your not allowed to purchase that unless you buy me a standard one :thumbsup

:1orglaugh

_Richard_ 04-17-2009 08:45 PM

you absolutely would appreciate that :)

I'm not an Escalade type. I have a Yukon Denali that I just love. Great paint job, rims, hand striped. It's gonna take something special for me to part with it.

As far as honeymooning in WA.. it depends on where they are in the state.. are they in Seattle or on the coast?

Holly 04-17-2009 09:13 PM

You're probably not going to like reading this, but when that first picture loaded, I thought, "oh my god, it's a hearse." :1orglaugh

I believe Seattle or somewhere close...

Love Yukons, I've done some great builds on those, as well as the Tahoe's. Personally I'm a bigger fan of the older mid 90s body styles... Whatever you end up getting... bonus points for air ride :thumbsup:thumbsup

Zorgman 04-17-2009 09:24 PM

I think this is more your color..

I don't like the new Yukons. Part of why I've stuck with the one I have this long. It's a 2005 before they went to the bubble grills.

Not sure what your friends are into. There's the Seattle waterfront.. great for roaming around. The Mariners are in town this weekend and into part of next week...if they like baseball, the annual Tulip festival is going on up north in Skagit Valley, the annual Western WA Spring fair is this weekend (completely with demolition derby on Saturday night).

It was done by West Coast Customs.

No way she's going to find a shop that is just as "Good" and get it done for the same price as she would be paying for this truck.

Niice I will pass along the info... she is a huge nirvana/cobain fan so I know a good part of the week will be cobain landmarks...

And totally agree with you on the anti bubbly... lol
I still prefer building older 94-97 s10s over any of the newer stock for same reasons... They destroyed grill options in the newer models, and bodies went way to curvy... It's a truck, not a supermodel... I like lines on my rides... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

The park next to it is where his ashes are scattered.

if they want a late night greasy spoon... Beth's Cafe (Okay I'm partial to the name) http://bethscafe.com/ 24 hours.. features a 12 egg omelet served on a pizza pan. Has been featured in alot of tv shows. Very grunge.

Good for you me too.

I know how hard it is to find reputable shops to do work on my cars. It won't be any easier for her.

West Coast Customs does good work. Don't let their shows fool you.

What they have done to that truck is basic mods. They didn't cut the roof off and convert it into a convertible. She doesn't have to worry about the structure of the car or mods done to the motor.

Also the car wasn't done yesterday so any bugs or problems with the truck would have been addressed already.

With the amount of minor mods they did she'd be looking at minimum $15k to have another shop do the work. Easily double that. They did more mods then she listed in her o.p..

She hasn't mentioned the price but I can almost guarantee she would be getting a deal by buying this truck already modded.

cute, I dig the flashy rims but its not a crazy color. Looks roomy inside and not too too blingish. I like the dark windows too. :)

Issue with that.. I'm on old school muscle car girl. All these remakes to me are just the car manufacturers' attempts to play on something that worked in the past. I have a 68 Mustang California Special (one of only 3200 made). Give me an old school beefy mustang, charger, challenger, 442, Chevelle anyday.

I actually saw a black Challenger at the Dodge dealer on Friday. Was there dropping off my son when he was picking up his truck from service. He of course was drooling over it. I wasn't impressed.

I feel the same way. I am an old school muscle car lover myself and to be quite honest, was very excited in the beginning when pictures of these cars in prototype started popping up all over the web.

When they were finally introduced and I saw them in person it was kind of a let down. It is kind of hard to compare fuel injected turbo blah blah electronic this and thats with the old look of raw steel, 8mpg beasts that used to rule the main streets. AM radios, pistol grip shifters, shaker hood scoops that ACTUALLY made a difference. The thunderous roar of glass packs and 450 raw HP, smoking tires, etc.

Ok I'm getting excited here. You get my point :1orglaugh

Well if you like muscle cars PK, maybe its time for something different. Enjoy the truck if you get it... its nice too... I've been trying to decide on a specific mercedes BUT the 2010 camaro is now hitting the lots...

ya gotta admit the options on this thing are dope.. the RS package with the black rims and spoiler, etc.

the instrument panel, stereo, etc in the luxury mercedes doesnt even compare to the camaro.. the LT2 has a USB port in it.. ;)

That is sweet. I have been contemplating replacing my Charger (see above) but haven't seen anything I like as much. If that is as nice in the inside as it is on the out I may have found my replacement.

Not feeling the front end either. It looks too much like a face to me.

To me the primary downfall is that it is a two door. But damn, it is so pretty I may have to inconvenience some people.

Will have to check the leg room.
